The Fox Sports analyst for today's match talks about how Danny de Costa has been revived by Hutter's coaching and has benefited from the injury to Chandler, who the commentator characterizes as the "up and down man" for Frankfurt the last few seasons.

da Costa scores to make it 1-0 vs Gladbach. It's not just da Costa Frankfurt also got Toure as well. They said in Winter they would only get another RB if Chandler isn't ready and since he wasn't ready they got him. Will be curious to see what it means for Chandler though.

looks like he suffered a setback between Feb and now and he'll be delayed even more. Seems like either he doesn't play all season or barely gets any game time. Chandler seems to want some minutes.

Update, March 28, 19:46: setback for Timothy Chandler, as the "kicker" reported. As a result of the premature entry into training problems occurred again on the muscle and the capsule. Adi Hütter gives the full-back the time. Chandler himself is not sure if it will be enough for a comeback this season, nor does he rule out a premature end to the season.

Hope he scores a hat-trick against Chelsea in the semis.

This is their first European semifinal since they won the UEFA Cup in 1980.

The bad news is that Kostic and da Costa are going to keep Chandler glued to the bench with the way they are playing. Also, Eintracht is in a fight for 4th and won't want to rotate players.

The good news is that they'll probably have to rotate players anyways and injuries happen.

Arf! Didn't see this but what a situation to be thrown into. It finished 6-1, so maybe he helped stop the bloodletting?

Leverkusen scored 6 in the first 35 minutes and then cruised. They completed 90% of their passes.

Frankfurt drew 1-1 but was eliminated in penalty kicks by Chelsea after 120 minutes of play.

Only 3 out of 4 subs were used by Frankfurt - they left Chandler on the bench.

Chandler starts on the bench today for Frankfurt, as they fight for a top 4 position and Champions League qualification.

Additionally, Anybody who wants Dortmund to end Bayern's Bundesliga hegemony is probably rooting for a draw in this match, so that Frankfurt is inspired to go full throttle in their final match against Kovac and Bayern next weekend.

Chandler starts on the bench for Eintracht in their final match of the season against Bayern.

Eintracht likely need to win to secure a spot in the Champions League next season.
