Since our owner fvcked it up for me I don't attend games anymore, but a poster of the FIRE site said that there wasn't more than 2k at the FIRE/ New England on Wednesday night. Another poster that attended the FIRE/Minnesota game said no more than 5k in attendance.
Had to update this chart. It's terrible.https://t.co/URVOSouxNT pic.twitter.com/6uhvxnCFGp— Capital Weather Gang (@capitalweather) May 13, 2019
Good looking crowd in Toronto for a Wednesday night game. Another disappointing looking crowd in Houston.
I am not sure exactly what day of the week MLS season weeks start, but I am going with Saturday since the first games of the year were on saturday. I believe this is Week 11. Week 11 (home team first): Sat 5/11 Cincinnati vs Montreal 26,258 Dallas vs NYRB 12,263 Toronto vs Philadelphia 26,219 LA Galaxy vs NYCFC 22,806 Columbus vs LAFC 18,048 New England vs San Jose 20,610 Chicago vs Minnesota 11,531 Colorado vs RSL 15,437 Seattle vs Houston 39,232 Sun 5/12 Atlanta vs Orlando 68,152 DC vs SKC 12,521 Wed 5/15 Toronto vs DC 26,116 Houston vs Portland 13,327 (looked like much less as usual) Vancouver vs Atlanta 16,138 Seattle vs Orlando 37,722 Week 11 average 24,425 Week 11 total 366,380
Pretty sure it's Monday. Week 1 Wednesday Friday Saturday Sunday ----------------- Week 2 Wednesday Saturday ----------------- etc.
how does that work with the first games of the season being on a saturday? So what number week is this?
Updated Week 11 Wed 5/8 Atlanta 42,537 Columbus 13,207 Chicago 6,074 New York RB 11,115 Fri 5/10 Vancouver 18,356 Sat 5/11 Cincinnati vs Montreal 26,258 Dallas vs NYRB 12,263 Toronto vs Philadelphia 26,219 LA Galaxy vs NYCFC 22,806 Columbus vs LAFC 18,048 New England vs San Jose 20,610 Chicago vs Minnesota 11,531 Colorado vs RSL 15,437 Seattle vs Houston 39,232 Sun 5/12 Atlanta vs Orlando 68,152 DC vs SKC 12,521 Weekly average: 22,772 Weekly total: 364,366 Week 12 Wed 5/15 Toronto vs DC 26,116 Houston vs Portland 13,327 Vancouver vs Atlanta 16,138 Seattle vs Orlando 37,722
I wonder how much the abuse scandal is affecting Vancouver. It's rare to see so many empty gray seats.
Montreal vs New England 15559 RSL crowd looks pretty small. Will be interesting to see what they announcing.
They didn't. San Jose looks a bit suspicious. It looked like horrible weather though. Montreal Impact Saputo Stadium 15,559 Real Salt Lake Rio Tinto Stadium N/A San Jose Earthquakes Avaya Stadium 15,232 Philadelphia Union Talen Energy Stadium 18,540 Minnesota United Allianz Field 19,600 Houston Dynamo BBVA Compass Stadium 15,811 Sporting Kansas City Children’s Mercy Park 18,691
looked like more than normal at Houston but definitely not 72% full. 15811/22,039 = 72% Other than San Jose the crowds looked good. Unknown about RSL since no number has been announced.
This is the butts-in-seats thread. If you want to talk announced attendance and other Fake News there is a thread on the other board for that.
This is a attendance thread, where it's OK to talk about butts in the seats, but it doesn't say you HAVE to talk about butts in the seats.
Sorry if I came off testy in response to your post. My irritation was not directed at you but at the fact that I'm not allowed to report my eyewitness testimony over on MLS N&A. Carry on.
