You’ve basically just agreed with his view that we begin to control games when Roberto comes on as sub
How can a poster who claims to be old enough to have seen and remembered eusebio (65+ years old)repeatedly be called out for being a moron and still come back only to be called a moron again(and again) Im not complaining and it would be unjust anyways if i denied you do hold some(comedic)value but still there comes a point where your self respect kicks in.
61 to be exact but don’t let facts get in the way .. The thing is , I hold very different views than the majority as I see things differently.. it’s just a matter of levels or extremes . Millions adore Messi and detest CRonaldo and visa-versa .. complete opposite views on the same two players ..... does that make all or indeed any of them morons ?? I’m hardly gonna worry when immature half-wits start throwing insults my way .. As the saying goes "Don't argue with idiots, they will lower you down into their level and beat you with experience".
This is all very fine and dandy but a tad hypocritical since all you have been doing for the last 20+ pages is arguing/debating with "idiots" There is another saying too Actions talk louder than words Memorise and apply it mate
No one is calling him a moron for having seen and remembered Eusebio. Not even sure what Eusebio has to do with Barcelona and this section of the forum. He didn’t even play in the ‘61 European Cup Final. I haven’t called him a moron, but my beef with him is that he rarely, if ever, posts anything positive. He values “beautiful play” over winning trophies which is fine, but if that’s the case then why continue to post in one team’s forum and claim to be a supporter of that club? Since winning silverware means little to him why not follow and enjoy whatever team is playing futebol the way enjoys it? Pep’s Barca was a unique and special era and folks need to realize that the likes of Puyol, Xavi and Iniesta don’t grow on trees or are made on assembly lines. He also seems to think I’m a Sergi Roberto fan when I haven’t really said much about him, positive or negative. Apart from all that, he’s alright in my book. [emoji846]
Why should I stop supporting Barca and longing for them to get a decent manager who’ll play proper football ? To be fair .. we haven’t had much to be positive about .. .results aren’t everything to me I’m not brilliant with words ( clearly ) .. I just love watching fantastic , creative free flowing football .. the BARCA way but of late ( ValverdeTime) I’ve not enjoyed watching Barca play .. sure we’ve had moments of magic from Messi ... beautiful twists and turns from Busqs and the arrival of Arthur BUT the beautiful football I’ve seen this season was provided mainly by Liverpool and Ajax .. I’ve no idea why admitting that in here makes me a Liverpool or an Ajax fan at all though . I’m not even too bothered by results. I’d accept beautiful football and winning must games and finishing 2nd or 3rd .. before Liverpool re-emerged as a power I loved watching Arsenal ..
It just hit me that this whole ********ing debacle ruined the memories of Messi in CL, his amazing goal against Liverpool and so one, you can't enjoy them anymore know they crumbled and choked once again. Just like the 6-1 against PSG is a meh just cause they were easily brushed aside by Juve. That Valverde hasn't stepped down shows that he's a coward with loser mentality. He has accepted defeat! AGAIN!
I hear what you're saying. You can't help but think of the aftermath when watching that Messi free kick. On the other hand, that Messi goal in 2007 which looked very similar to Maradona v England 1986 was recently voted as the greatest goal in Barca history. We've all seen it numerous times. That goal was scored in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals against Getafe. Barca won that tie 5-2. In the return leg Getafe won 4-0 to knock Barca out. Yet that goal has remained a significant highlight of Messi's career and many Culés still talk about it and enjoy watching it.
Yeah. In a few years one might be able to enjoy it but it would be so much more sweeter and heavier if it had led to a CL trophy. Ohh the fumble! I can't imagine how Messi feels promising to bring back CL and almost succeed just to ******** up in every possible way. I hope he takes charge and forces Valverde out.
Alba was obviously the worst player, I'm just saying that Pique was clearly one of our worst players on the night, and that anyone attempting to spin Pique as one of our better players is just delusional... As for Alba's hopelessness when attacking, I think that's harsh, I mean, how can Alba look good on the left when Coutinho offers nothing? Honestly, I think that Alba's assist for Suarez's 1-0 goal was far better than anything Coutinho did across the two games.
Man all this talk about EV, his tactics, formations and player he played (even though I agree he made a mistake), wouldn’t have mattered if our forwards were not so bad in finishing their chances. These chance Coutinho and Suárez flopped, can’t get them off my head.
Coutinho's shot wasn't bad ... on another day that rebound would have gone straight into Suarez path. Suarez didn't hit the ball well on his chance. And to be honest, Alba/Messi's miss was the worst in the 2nd leg. Although you can't criticize them that much because of how they decided the 1st leg.
Ya that Alba/Messi chance. But wasn’t that a offside? I didn’t include this in my post as I thought it would have been called off anyway.
