Any word on the staff that was the eclipse north open house? Was it only the current spartan fc staff?

I don't think anything has been determined for coaching in OB or the north based on OB. Seems like movement possible from one location to another or movement within age groups. I did speak with coaches last week there. And also asked around.

LOL... While FCU skirts the rules and demands cash within 48 hours, Sockers has a new approach.

They are blasting 2006 players from outside the club (in this case a few Eclipse players) with an email that says... "Congrats [player name] has made our 2006 girls team!" But they do not specify whether this is the PDA or DA team.

Now here is the funny part... These girls never went to a Sockers tryout!

    :ROFLMAO:

How would they get their emails if they didn’t register to tryout?

It’s May, and the craziness of tryout season is in full swing. I witnessed a case in point today. There was a dad spying the Sockers Girls DA practice in Schaumburg. Maybe he wanted to see how practices are run before having his daughter try out? Nothing wrong with that I guess. But this guy was watching from a field away. At first I thought he was watching the boys practicing on the field in front of him. But it became clear that he was looking right past the boys and watching the girls one field over. He was definitely keeping his distance not wanting to be recognized. A parent of a former player looking to return perhaps? Just one example of the ridiculous things parents are willing to do at this time of year. Jaw-dropping!

Many ways I would guess. Disgruntled former parent, social media, prior camps. maybe the players signed up a few years past?

I have lists of players from my club and from my rec club - I don't hand them out but I suppose if someone wanted to they could.

If I log onto my kids old portal I can see connections to Cary Defenders, Chicago Fire Jrs, Little Legends and Chicago Magic - all clubs we've had something to do with in the past. They all have our email.

I don't think that's ridiculous. I watched 2 practices with my 6 year old - 7 years ago. I reached out to the coach first but in your case - DA/high level and the likelyhood this guy has a kid at FCU or Eclipse and does not want this to get back to the current coach, I can see why he may have kept a distance.

Similar to a team basing their opinion of a player on 1.5 hour tryout (we all know where you come from makes up 75% of a decision), it's only fair for a parent to do their own due diligence and either watch, ask around, or practice with a team. Asking questions to the DOC or coach should be highly encouraged. I'm not sure why anyone is willing to pay these costs for reputation on basically an unknown product. Similar to buying a luxury car without the test drive. Are you sure about that purchase or will buyer's remorse come to fruition?

Personally, I could care less if someone notices me watching a practice.

The news that fire is leaving seat geek stadium is now official. The club will be staying on Bridgeview to train for the next 5 years. That has to be a relief to many of the families as moving the academy downtown would be a nightmare for players to get to. One of the top hockey clubs moved from Woodridge to the United Center and parents hated trying to get there for a practice at 6pm

160 players signed up for Eclipse North for tomorrow alone.

In context of Fire Academy I have to believe it’s a nightmare to get there for practice for most everyone save a few who are south or very nearby no?

So, that's 32 per age group? Seem like a good showing?

    GIRLS ECNL ID 2004-2008
    Date: May 9, 2019
    Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
    Techny Park

Is this in addition to girls they grabbed from FCUDA already at 04 and 05? Is there an 08 ECNL team next fall? U12? Or is that just to id kids for U13s? Is North having B team? If so, where will that team play?

These are just the tally for tomorrow only. I don't know the break down. It would appear to be pretty healthy.

... and still no announcements regarding Eclipse North coaching staff, correct?
It really shows the demand to chase a badge and have the option of playing hs. Is FCU is seeing the same kind of demand for its GDA product? I'm hearing the '02 GDA players might stick around, but many others, younger and older, heading across the street.

Is this just girls we’re talking about or boys as well? Will boys be leaving FCU in the same way?

Does any also think that FCU hired an Bangladeshi click farm to overwhelm the Eclipse site with fake registrants?

Sounds like a question SMP should have asked a few extra times before making their purchase.

Is it even worth the battle on the girls side? I mean it's likely a moot point in that the DA will force them to keep onward - else lose the boys DA I am sure.

    What a headache!

If you are planning on having your DD tryout tonight... expect traffic like the last scene from Field of Dreams.
FOMO runs deep on the northshore.

This might explain the high numbers.

As we quickly approach the North ECNL ID Camp tonight, we wanted to reach out to you for a quick reminder for the tryouts we have scheduled coming up!

If you are planning or interested in attending the North ECNL ID Camps, please make sure that you are first and foremost registered online. Registration and participation in this event is FREE!

Don't clubs usually charge a token fee? Now I am only half joking about the FCU click farm.

But if they do convert registrants to attendees...

Most of the bags at the check in were FCU, Trevians, FC1 with some Wilmette Wings and Eclipse sprinkled in
