I know tonight hurts deep down inside but two Ligas won in a cantor is nothing to sneeze at.
I'll always take weekend consistency over two midweek nights every time.
    But that's just me.
And YES I will be watching the Copa del Rey final.

The most funny thing is we started very badly at home leg and looked much better in second half after Semedo came in and we pushed SR to the midfield.

What does EV do in the very next game? Right, use the same lineup that was struggling in the home leg.

Anyway, the signs were always there and it’s a shame that we blew such great opportunity to win another CL. We can blame anyone we want but the harsh reality is that our club has been turned into one of the biggest laughing stock in the world.

Saying that, EV must go after this season. He was terrible again in selecting the team and was too late to respond to the game.

as I recall Valverde's tenure began with the possibility of RM dominating all competitions and we all dreaded no titles.

He has managed to dominate Spain but I dont think he was ever a long term manager..then again I dont think Barcelona has long term managers in their DNA

Well we’ve not played horrid football like this for decades..

If we’re hoping to be an elite team then sorry but Roberto and Rakitic should never be automatic starters

To be fair, he actually does have the point. You have to consider the fact that regardless who's in charge, we've been winning domestic titles countless times in this Messi era.

Losing in CL doesnt always mean a judgement day for any coach but losing by 4 goals for 2 straight seasons ? There's nothing to defend here, shoudnt be any excuses. You dont conceided 4 goals from a bad luck.

Give me a break!!!!! This is not just a case of not winning every trophy every year. We have just been handed another historic loss and the worst thing is this has happened twice in a row now. Most are happy that we won the league but going out in such manner in CL definetly dents the league win.

Yeah, we could probably can someone into paying 70 million euros for him, although I'm probably being overtly optimistic . We need young, quick players and by christ we need a striker to take iver frim Suarez and i don't mean Kevin Prince Boateng. I'm too fed up to type, i feel so sorry for Messi.

They struggled to beat Leicester City at home last night in a must win match .. they were saved by a wonder goal from a CB who hadn’t scored for over a year ..

By long term I mean not only the manager but also the players . The very core of this team is still basically an old timers & we need more fresh legs, younger players that plays with grit & determination.

It doesn't for me. Especially seeing how far back LPB are in the table.
    But to each his own.

That’s the thing though.. we’ve won La Liga playing safe , predictable football when the two Madrid sides were extremely poor ..

    Exactly that.

Also this isnt the same as that historic lost to Bayern where Tito was dealing with cancer & Messi was injured. This was the other way around! They have plenty of injuries and still easily clowned us.

So since everyone wants Valverde out, who would you like to replace him for the 2019-20 campaign?

They have won 13 games in a row, they have 95 points with 1 game remaining and they had 100 points last season, 198 points over 2 seasons is impressive in anyones book. And they will strengthen in the summer again. Funnily enough Pep struggles in the CL, especially away from home.

Well .. I am back from punching the wall. Failure of monumental proportions. Not even extra time. With them missing key players.

As much shit some talked about Roberto, he didn't have a bad game. Even had 2 key clearances on with Mane clear on goal. Alba was the one that was just awful.

Valverde does have to go after this and changes need to be made for next season. Team needs more energy. Period.

As I was saying... Messi's legacy as one of the biggest choke-jobs ever was cemented today, if last year hadn't definitively done it. Honestly, I cannot see myself going through the trouble of defending him ever again...

Messi is a better player than Cristiano Ronaldo by quite a lot of margin in my opinion, but Messi's mentality is REPEATEDLY frail enough that he just cannot be mentioned in the same breath as Maradona or Pele, for example. It's impossibly difficult to try to deny that after today. Messi quite simply very much appears to lack the leadership and/or the personality to inspire calmness, security, and positivity, in difficult games not played in La Liga (where he rarely ever chokes, not even against Real Madrid, for some reason).

And honestly, and I couldn't possibly stress this enough: I would never vote for choke-job Messi as far as the Ballon d'Or 2019 goes. He simply doesn't deserve it, not by any stretch of the imagination as far as I'm concerned. Simply put: Messi can win the Champions League but only when Barcelona is stacked with amazing players in the prime, as was the case in 2015, in 2011, and in 2009. I wouldn't be surprised if Messi has another disappointing Copa America to add to his collection of choke-jobs.

On a different note, I hope that Mohamed Salah comes back for the Final and offers another great performance similar to his very entertaining (and productive) first leg vs. Barcelona.

Ya, because Maradona and Pele won every trophy they ever played for. Their team won every important match no matter what.
