The cheeky Keane goal doesn't surprise me but the full out trademark celebration did. Didn't think he still had that spring in his step!
Just read this from Baxter in the LA TImes. Really hard to believe.. .Kamara hasn’t gotten off to good start in China, however: Five games into Shenzhen’s season, he has yet to play a minute.
Wouldn't he need to go through the allocation process since the Galaxy (and MLS) sold his contract to his current team. The Galaxy are at the bottom of the list now and I can't imagine that they would be able to get into a position to resign him. I am sure that other teams that need a striker would not let the Galaxy buy past them.
I don't think that Ola is coming back to MLS in the next year or more, so you probably don't need to worry. Nor do I think that he would be affordable. He was previously a TAM player and I am sure the Chinese club would want a transfer fee. The combination would probably push him into DP status.
Not sure where else to put this, but always wondered what happened with Kelli Tennant. https://www.google.com/amp/s/deadsp...alton-laughed-at-her-pleas-dur-1834257921/amp
Omar may be going to TFC Know timing isn't ideal on this with the #USWNT roster announcement, but...Toronto FC is in discussions to sign #USMNT and former #LAGalaxy defender Omar Gonzalez, according to three sources with knowledge of the negotiations: https://t.co/1WVBg7876f pic.twitter.com/UfBp2QyQYD— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) May 2, 2019
UPDATE: Atlas won't sell Omar I can confirm. Source says Atlas wouldn’t agree to move González. TFC could still be active elsewhere before window closes tomorrow, however. https://t.co/SP3pjBqmrE— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) May 6, 2019
Omar is back . . . training with the Galaxy while in LA Former #LAGalaxy center back Omar Gonzalez is training with the club. Galaxy often allows former players to train with the club while in LA. Nothing else to this. pic.twitter.com/VviicsX1bt— Adam Serrano (@AdamSerrano) May 9, 2019
Too bad. Giancarlo not being able to crack the starting 11 so far along with his spotty record in Italy makes me think the Galaxy signed the wrong Gonzalez.
🚨 NEWS 🚨We’ve signed @gyasinho to a multi-year contract extension as a Designated Player!📰: https://t.co/CbqOMU6F6r #Crew96 pic.twitter.com/32A9iSc1S5— The Crew (@ColumbusCrew) May 13, 2019 Wow. Good for you Gyasi

It's behind a paywall* but cool article about what Magic Mike has been up to since his hip injury and retirement from soccer. It has some Galaxy tidbits as well, involving Mike, Landon and Omar as drinking buddies: https://theathletic.com/1026419/201...rmer-mls-mvp-mike-magee-starts-vodka-venture/ *The Athletic has great writers and is worth the sub costto me, but ymmv. They have good but limited MLS coverage so it's probably only worth it if you are into other sports they cover as well.
Was Justin Dhillon someone who the Galaxy missed on? He was the Academy and then played with the GIIs after college Seems pretty clear that the @SoundersFC will be signing Justin Dhillon to a first team contract. But not official yet. #Sounders #MLS https://t.co/97U8WOx9ID— Miki Turner (@turneresq) June 27, 2019
From the games I have watched with Los dos I don't think so. He joined the Tacoma defiance which is the Sounders USL. I've seen highlights of a couple of his goals and still don't think we missed out. He does have 6 goals in 14 games though. He has the physical attributes of a CF but not much upside. Bruin went down for the season and Morris is away with the NT. It seems to be a low risk reward to fill up space
Our former fearless leader never fails to come through. From an article about upcoming NER match against LAFC (where his son is an assistant): "I'm not sure I've ever coached against my son, actually. So this will be interesting. If a fight breaks out, I'm going to take him." https://www.espn.com/soccer/major-l...take-aim-at-lafc-toronto-need-altidore-firing
Tomorrow night our striker @jayy_villa will have the opportunity to play against his brother @Jaime_V18 in the pro level for the first time, as we take on @SacRepublicFC in the @USLChampionship Game of the Week. Let's check out and see what some familiar faces are up to: If you see Raul put the ball through, it’s already too late.Only three players in the USL have more assists than Raul Mendiola!#COYBIB | #VamosAzules pic.twitter.com/AE0D8vhx5m— SK Holdings (@SKholdings_) August 14, 2019 Raul Mendiola is 25 years old playing for Reno FC. He's been playing as a CM and RM. He has been a starter playing 20 games. He has 4 goals and 7 assist (tied for 2nd with a couple other players) Hugo Arellano is 21 years old. He plays for Ocsc. He was a CB for them but only has 5 games. He stated of starting then lost his spot and now not even making the bench Nathan Smith is at Portland 2, 24 years old. He's still a fulback, playing both right and now left back. Stater has 18 games 1 goal and 3 assists Rafeal Garcia has carved out a career. 30 years old he is now in Oklahoma City. He is a starter and goes full 90 at the DM/CM spot. 22 games 4 goals and 1 assist Jaime Villarreal the younger brother (24 years old) is still at Sacramento FC. He starts at CM has 21 games and 1 goal Arial Lassiter is 24 years old playing in Puerto Rico for LD Alajuelense who play in the first tier. Season just started and he has played all 5 games going 90 mins at LW. He has 3 goals 2 assist. Jose Villarreal (the older brother) is in Las Vegas with Wynalda as his coach. He's still only 25 years old. He plays a CF but only has 9 games (joined late) but still no goals 2 assists. BJ IV is on loan (contact expires at the end of the season) in San Antonio. He's been used along the attaching front (RW SS LW CF). 19 games 5 goals and 2 assists. Yes. I can confirm this. Apparently a bad foot injury will lead to Jack McBean’s retirement. And that’s too bad!But I Still expect great things from him. Smart kid. Nice guy. Top class personality. He’ll find his way.#LAGalaxy #MLS https://t.co/eedcMrEle9— Corner Of The Galaxy (@GalaxyPodcast) February 14, 2019 Unfortunately Jack McBean was forced to retire Frank Lopez is also on loan to San Antonio FC and his contract expires with us at the end of the season. He's been a hit since joining. Started all 5 games scoring 4 goals and adding an assist It's shame they couldn't make the 1st team but I'm glad some are finding their own path with different teams
