When that happened I was just about to post how Iwobi & AMN came on for Mavro & Jenks. Mavropanos is a bit of a head-scratcher. He's finally gotten 2 starts and the manager doesn't let him play 90' in each of them. Maybe this time it was more tactical/shape driven but still not the best omen for this young gun.
Mustafi WTF!!!!! He HAS to go this summer. Zaha 2-1 Palace. Now 30 mins to save our chances of top 4?
In his defense he's dealing with games every 3 days or so. Plus Ramsey's gone for probably the season. Sokratis is suspended. Etc. I think a lot of blame today goes on the players, especially in individual defensive laxness or mistakes. Like the one that just allowed them to bury us with a 3rd goal. 3-1 to Palace. Game pretty much done and dusted. It looks like another collective fail for the boys in red & white. Players, manager, you have it.
Douzi isn’t ready to help a team get to top 4. He needs a year loaned out to a mid table side. Maybe 2. Everyone who saw this midfield saw this.
He's carrying a groin injury I believe. And it's that time of the season where you have to be smart & careful with how (much) you play your key players. He made a calculated gamble leaving him out of our only(?) remaining home match. Looks like maybe that gamble didn't pay off, but I can understand why he made that decision. Menawhile LT comes on for the last 25 mins or so.
I get why he did it - but now we lose the game that was the bankable 3 pts Winning on the road is harder for Arse
Auba makes it interesting! Sublime solo effort, with a final 1-2 with Lac. 2-3 COME ON!!!! Edit: I didn't realize at the time that Auba's combination play was with an unwitting defender, not Laca! LOL
