After a really good 2-0 result at home in the first leg of the Europa League Quarterfinal, Arsenal will enjoy an extra day of rest before travelling to Watford for our second of three Monday league games this month! The Hornets (honestly, somebody please tell me in the comments why they aren't the Mooses?!?!) will no doubt be flying high after their fantastic FA Cup semi-final result vs Wolves. They are now only 5 weeks away from the 2nd FA Cup final in club history (They lost to Everton 2-0 in 1984). This should prove quite a tricky fixture (as will all the rest of our fixtures, quite frankly) so here's hoping Emery's magic will continue to inspire (brainwash?) the lads and we can claim another 3 points!! NBCSN will have the game EDIT: Monday April 15th, (whoops!) COYG!!
IIRC, the crest used to have a bee (hornet) on it, but then some clever person decided to remove that an put a deer on there (not a moose I'm afraid). But English fans being nothing unless loyal to tradition, wouldn't give up on the hornet. At least that's my understanding. More importantly we SERIOUSLY need to put behind us our anemic away form, or else it will completely derail our hopes of top 4. And Monday is the day to do that!!! p.s. With any luck Yoss will correct your thread title typo.
OK, Liverpool just did their bit to peg back Chelsea. But 3pts went to United & Spurs, albeit with vastly different levels of impressiveness. So now it's out turn tomorrow! Win and we go 4th on GD, only 1 pt behind Spurs. Emery & the boys need to get up for this like it's a cup final! Unfortunately one at our opponents ground.
It shouldn't matter if we win it away, Our title in 1989 when we clinched at Anfield needing to beat Liverpool by 2 and did proves it, the intensity level shouldn't vary due to what football ground you're on, Unai's Red Army will prevail if they put their minds to it. Watford are good, but I still say 2-1 to The Arsenal (usually it's "2-nil To The Arsenal" as I like to do to the Borussia Bortmund goal song in "Go West" form) because you've gotta respect the fact that they are a bit good. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to watch due to my old Dish DP-311 SD receiver I have had almost forever won't pull up any signal, it's been like this since Friday night, I called DISH and they gave me a bunch of excuses and sounded more like they were more interested in hustling me a new Hopper DVR than helping me solve my problem, I said "NO!" because as many of you know all DVR's utilize some of that bullshit "red flag" anti-copy technology in which you cannot transfer the contents to a DVD or hard-drive. HD receivers will not work with my VCR or my DVD recorder, and I still use my DVD recorder to record certain events, I recorded both our appearance in the 2016 MLS All-Star Game in San Jose and also the match against CD Chivas in Carson that year. I have both on DVD, that would not be possible with an HD receiver or a DVR because of the "red flag" technology. COYF'n'G!!!
Unai Emery will make sure to apply RAID liberally across the entire pitch at Vicarage Road tomorrow, COYF'n'G!!!
Have to make a presentation at 2 today outside of the office, so I'll likely not be able to check in til 2nd half. Make it good news when I do so, please! C'mon you Gunners!
Me too. I'm still working on too many late tax issues. Will have to watch it on DVR later. Enjoy the radio silence from me!
Leno Mustafi - Koscielny - Mavropanos - Monreal Torreira - Xhaka Mkhitaryan - Ramsey - Iwobi Aubameyang
Elbowed Torreira in the face. Deserved, but wouldn't have been a red if any other player were on the receiving end because they would have gotten hit in the chest. I'm not sure how deliberate it was. The rest of the half has been poor. Doucoure probably should have seen red also.
