Eh, like what Kiong has suggested, I'm not a huge fan of the Morelia 2 on AG as the studs are a little too wide to really penetrate the AG ground well.

I'd say go save up the money. Neo 2 are my favourite boots out there right now and i'm not sure i'd recommend any mizuno boot over it tbh.

Ended up getting the Morelia Neo 2s. I've never felt anything more natural and balanced on my foot. I've only trained in them a couple of times, but I have no doubt they are the best boot I've ever worn. They feel like an enhancement of my foot... To be honest, they felt incredible out of the box and have gotten better. Fully broken in they'll be heavenly. Well worth the $250... By the way, the size 10 US fit perfect. Identical to Nikes in length.

So I really understand why everybody loves the Wave Cups, they are absolutely my favourite boot I've ever worn.
They're not perfect but they are super close IMO.

do they feel better than regular MIJ morelias? the issue I had was when i brake/turn hard, my feet will move. Being full leather boots the lock down will suffer

I prefer the stud layout and fit over the Morelia IIs. I don't have an issue with lockdown in them personally.
But at the same time I love the Morelias. I just like the Wave Cups more.

When I had the Morelia’s I had the exact same issue. I bought a pair of trusox and the issue was fixed. I can’t recommend them enough.

I like grip socks a lot, but am I the only one who prefers Falke 4grips over Trusox? I feel that their performance lasts a lot longer. Although I liked the two different options (cushion/thin).

I’ve yet to try the falke socks. Is the performance just as good? Do your feet sill slip with the falke socks?

Interestingly if I played on natural grass my feet didn’t slip nearly as much than on 4g pitches

If you have sesamoid or other foot problems, the wave cups are great because there is less stud pressure. However, if the game is ultra ultra competitive, I would stick to the morelia af kr that I own, because regular studs have better traction and allow me cut more aggressively.

I'm thinking about filing down the width of the studs on my Morelia II's, to get a bit more grip.

I find myself wanting better traction, but without resorting to soft ground studs. Whenever I use the M2 I feel like I'm slipping way to often, which have made me use my Nike Premier a lot more instead.

Has anyone here tried doing something similar to their boots?

Ditto, I love the Falke grip socks as well. Trusox do give you more grip, but they're durability is pretty shit. Falke's are really durable and still give you a good amount of grip.

I do find that that happens with full leather boots but slightly less with the Mizuno Wave Cups than I do in the MiJ Morelias. Its part of the reason why i rate the Legend 7 as the best Leather boots around for me aha.

I wouldn't recommend doing that, either you go with soft ground cleats or mixed cleats.

    Why not?

Screw in studs would provide too much traction. I don't have enough grip for dry pitches.

Well, I can admit that if you would want the best grip for one match only, then maybe pair of brand new Trusox might be the winner. But the steady almost as good performance of Falke is in my opinion overall much better choice, if you don't mind the tight compressive feeling.

And yes, I've cared my Trusox according to instructions and have also tried to just not wash them at all.

By the way, I'm keen on trying out the Morelia Neo, but not sure if they'll fit my feet. Does anyone here have a pair for sale in UK 7.5/26.5?

Also, what's the biggest size you can get straight from Japan? I have a mate who needs 29cm sizing, and we wanted to order together.
