The coach is barely starting to try new players to build a team for WCQ.

But honestly Guatemalan soccer has never been this bad. Our level is like Belize and Nicaragua.

Puta que pijaziada nos pegaron. And this will continue if nothing changes.

Claveri has to go (along with the Comision, they're clearly not helping). It's clear he's too dogmatic. A huevo quiere tocar, no matter the scenario. For example today, with 11 players that only had one training, who never in their life played together, quiso dominar al contrario en su casa. A rival that's clearly better than us.
This is isn't brave, this is plain stupid. There's no shame in acknowleging that the rival is better and playing smart. This game had me missing Almeida lowkey. Con ese pizado jugamos horrible, but bar the Copa Uncaf, le "competiamos" a cualquiera metiendo el Camion y contragolpeando. Idk who should take over, I wanna say Amarini but i rather see how he does in the Concachampions with Guasta first.

Also, there are many players that do not belong in the NT.

Motta was our best GK the last cycle, however, he shouldnt be starting anymore.

Le doy mas partidos a ver si today was a one off or he's simply "pecho frio"

This foo hasnt play in almost a year. Wtf???

The rest idk. Aguilar was decent going forward, but provided no defensive coverage. We cant afford to carry passengers so he better get his mind straight. Ceballos still has the same flaws he had as a 20 year old. Robin todo corazon pero poco futbol. Luis Martinez me gusto a ratos. Frank no tanto, muy intermitente. Brandon mejor que saravia but that's not a great acomplishment. Hay que probar a Aparicio ya

Finally, this just proved that there's no quick fix. This wont improve until we tackle the real problem.

The only way to improve would be to overhaul our league. Better coaching at youth level, better scouting, and a better league to develop them is the only way to move forward. And the worst part is that we could do this easily if it wasnt for our directivos being greedy and stupid. Somos la liga que mejor paga en centroamerica yet we're just throwing money down the drain on paquetes.

Esta mierda es como perder peso. Es simple mas no facil. We have to completely change our behavior, the way we approach things.... Ya ni se paque me enojo.

You make a lot of good points, more importantly the strategy. I was so focused on how fast these guys were and how they just shred our defense, that I didn't bother to think of our strategy. The way Israel was pressing, and covering (seriously looked like they were playing man to man for a while) it seemed like we couldn't make any type of pass or hold the ball for more then a few seconds.

As much as I hated the pelotazo game it may have been a good way to at least get something started in the game.

Gol de Carlos Alvarado. I'm assuming this is a warm-up for the Toulon Tournament.

We actually needed this. Our DT is old and out of touch with reality.... needs to get fired ASAP.

He refuses to call up Guatemalans playing in USL because according to him USL league is inferior to the Guatemalan league. :cautious:
He refuses to call up our best defender, who played for the Germany U17/U20 because he simply dislikes him.

    It's crazy.

He also said that if they lost to El Salvador, he would get rid of the new players and call back the old experienced players.

    Full retard.

My sympathies. We had a coach do that about a 15 years ago after we lost to USA and then the old players...went on to get owned 0-3 at Home vs Jamaica lol.

I think I read somewhere last night that sources confirm Walter Claveri has given his resignation to the Fed.

    People clamoring for Armani(?)

I agree with you with most points except the USL one, a quien vas a llamar? No hay nadie worth it at this point lowkey

For the rest I agree. After all the taleguiadas, it's time. Cincotta should've been called pero tampoco nos va salvar. We do need Enoc, Mo & Payeras to go back to their former selves though porque centrales no tenemos :(

Yo no. I have mixed feelings about Amarini. He's too pragmatic. If he could be a little more adventorous at times, he'd be more successful. Also, the NT is a poison chalice rn. Sopegno & am sure Claveri wont be the same once this is over. I wouln't want our best young coach to get burned so soon in his career.

As per the news the candidates are Amarini and Mauricio Tapia. The federation elections are coming up soon.

So Amarini Villatoro will be the the interim coach against CR & T&T while Claveri is close to going back to xela (if i were him id take a break ).

Gerardo Paiz will most likely be the new president of tge federation in June. Les said he wanted Medford two years ago, let's hope that's no longer the case now.

No, Medford ya esta quemado sadly. Idk who the coach should be, but let's be real, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things if we still don't fix our youth sytem

    1st call up

Hay varios que sobran, like always, but I understand why he called the ppl he called. This is basically his job interview so he's focusing in the short term. He talked about Jerez, Yanez and Mo. But I wouldn't call any of them. Jerez is close to losing his starting place wiyh Alianza so he should focus there instead. And Mo as much as I like him, hasn't play in a while if im not mistaken.

@MauriceDel-Taco I don't like that tone of blue on the white jersey, it looks like Turquoise...

The blue jersey is too plain, it looks almost like a training shirt.

It also looks like El Salvador, especially now that both wear Umbro.

Line up for tomorrow. Me gusta a medias. For Hagen is now or never. He doesn't have Mota or Jerez to hide behind. Hell of a debut for Tato Lopez as a libero. Moyo is too slow to be part of the double pivot, especially of a defensive team.

I'm digging the experiment up top though. Galindo will be playing a similar role played by Vidal with Sampaoli's Chile.

Ps. This shit is up there with the time our fans were celebrating Messi's goals against us. No hay verguenza ni identidad sadly

    @Chul0 Fueron a recibir a Keylor Navas.

He's a fellow Central American who happens to play for (arguably) the biggest club in the world. Its very easy to indentify with Keylor.

    I honestly see nothing wrong.

You're probably right. It's just a friendly, and is not like they were celebrating his goals like with Messi. They just went to receive him. But I guess I'm getting old cause everything bothers or makes me nostalgic for shit like this hahah

Even I hated that tico team from 1998-2006.

Crybabies/pussies, Guimaraes loved talking shit. Now his son Celso Borges will play in Guatemala tonight.
