I was wondering it the liquor store would make it or not. From that camera angle, it looked like the stadium could have been described as "out back of the liquor store". Seriously, that is a fine looking stadium.
Media event yesterday at Allianz, with both mayors, Governor, and The Don! #MNUFC’s TAM budget has increased by $29.99 https://t.co/0pvhJzNxsZ— Fifty Five One (@FiftyFiveOne) March 19, 2019 From the top row of @MNWonderwall pic.twitter.com/cShDNuagC8— Brian Quarstad (@IMSoccerNews) March 18, 2019
So what will it be like for the players to walk out of the tunnel into the stadium? pic.twitter.com/k1LSlCfZHg— Brian Quarstad (@IMSoccerNews) March 18, 2019
What a difference a year makes. These pictured of Allianz Field were taken exactly one year apart. pic.twitter.com/Rprl34KXm1— Tyler Mason (@tylermason21) March 19, 2019
Well.. I'm sure this is going to go over well with getting Miami's stadium built... It seems to be on its way to being a campaign issue. (Juan Zapata is one of the candidates for Mayor of Miami-Dade County). We’ve done nothing but slam the door on Beckham & his goal to bring world class Futbol to our community. I don’t necessarily like current location or fully agree with @Jorge__Mas comments about parks, but no good options & he’s not far off. #TruthHurts We can & should do better. https://t.co/vbiFSckwf5— Juan C. Y'all know it's gonna permanently end up Inter Miami CF of Fort Lauderdale, right? I suppose the "CF" now stands for "Corpse of Fusion."
Well one of the stadiums we thought was a foregone conclusion would start construction in 2019 is looking very questionable now. Nashville was supposed to open new stadium 2021 meaning construction would have to start this year. They just announced today they will not open the new stadium until 2022. Now construction starting this year is very likely not to happen. https://www.nashvillesc.com/news_article/show/1006091 Also, with Miami just announcing they are planning to play at the Lockhart site until 2022 this means they also likely won't start on their stadium until 2020.
Rezoning application in Austin suggests an increase in seating to 22,000 at McKalla Place (up from 20k). No upgraded stadium renderings yet, which would include a larger canopy at an additional $25 million dollars and the extra seating as far as we know.
Not surprising the Miami suit lost. The other 2 will also lose. The public knew what it was voting on and a judge isn't going to overturn that.
Minnestota United supporters are breaking in their new stadium. No one's on the field, the stadium only has one side full, and yet they're STILL making a ton of noise. This is why SSS's are so important. There's truly nothing like home.#MNUFC 🏡🏟️ pic.twitter.com/KYMwbR9C6W— MLS Buzz (@MLS_Buzz) March 24, 2019
New from Austin FC: New cost estimate: $240M (up from $225M) New seating: 20,500 Completion date: still 2021 Construction Manager: Austin Commercial Architect: Gensler (we knew that) Project manager: CAA ICON (we knew that) Precourt Sports Ventures names construction manager and design team for #AustinFC stadium Read more: https://t.co/dUpXUOKZm9 pic.twitter.com/anY2yiLYMg— Austin FC (@AustinFC) March 25, 2019
FC Cincinnati has changed design architects, and the stadium now seems to have its orange glow back: https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sp...n-its-major-league-soccer-stadium/3300642002/
Yeah. What was it? 5 I win, 3 or less you win, 4 a push? 5 is looking doubtful. Cincy is already started. Still feel good about Columbus & Austin. Delays in Miami & Nashville. Though if Sac is #28 they could start ASAP.
Did the dry run Saturday... Time from my driveway to Allianz Field, including parking the Bluecatmobile near U.S. Bank Stadium ($8) and taking the light rail over to St. Paul ($4)... 55 minutes. 11 days to the opener.
Aw, give yourself an extra 40 minutes to grab a brew in Dinkytown before you hop the train. Admire the youts. You get our age, and a good warm-up is important. Congrats man.
Only way Sacramento is #28 is if the proposed ownership groups in STL and PHX send Garber a dick pic. SAC is pretty much permanently friend-zoned unless and until MLS desperately needs another team for league balance and DET is still banging on about Ford Field.
Holy f**k. Fire out of Bridgeview is reportedly a done deal: Soon to be breaking #cf97 news from a solid source. Nice buyout for Village of Bridgeview, 2/3 of bond debt is being bought out. it is apparently a done deal. pic.twitter.com/rFP4UTVmFs— J. Vlahakis (@jvlaha) April 2, 2019
