He is a little better that Tarbell but you are right, no big deal. At this point Bingham looks like a stud.

Wow, zero points after 3 games. Anything less than 4 is unacceptable. So I would say we are a lock to end up with the Wooden Spoon. Has anyone other than Chivas USA won it in back-to-back seasons?

And I will get another phone call from someone in the Quakes office asking why I didn't renew my season tickets this year.

I think there is a very good chance that 10 points might be unreachable for this team... Seriously a sub-10 point season is possible.

And we need to fire Fox and Jessie right now, like tonight.

Unfortunately, neither the New York Rangers nor the New York Islanders are on the remainder of the San Jose Sharks' regular season schedule.

Thusly, there's no way for the Sharks to avenge the Earthquakes for today's loss like they were able to for the latter's previous two losses with definitive wins against both the Montreal Canadiens and the Minnesota Wild.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

I forgot to record the game but started watching in the 37th minute. It seemed like the Quakes must have played a spirited fully-man-marking first half, am I right? But when they came out in the 2nd half, they looked slower, tired, and fatigued. Or else RBNY got better coaching advice at HT.

Any idea what was the difference between the 2 teams as they started the 2H?

Secondly, I realized the reason why I didn't record the game was because it had not shown up on my Uverse schedule when I set up the other MLS games for this weekend. And in searching, I can't find any replays on uverse. What's up with that? Why is it so hard to watch a Quakes game on uverse now? Is it the same problem on Comcast?

    I watched that bullshit. Sigh.

That said, I also watched it on a TV in the outside patio at one of our local Vietnamese coffee shops here in San Jose, so I was able to enjoy the sunshine (and the eye candies) as well.

This team is absolute garbage. I honestly believe they will have fewer points than last year by far. I don't see a win on their schedule given their current form. Shame on you Jessie.

2 by Vako, 1 by Wondo, 1 by Magnus. Vako's not alone. Remember, the lone goal started with Vako. If you're gonna blame him, at least give him props for what he did successfully.

And 2-0 at halftime isn't going to matter squat. We lost 4-1.

They already had one transfer window to get at least one of those players he wanted. They failed. Or more correctly, they did not want to. What makes you think they're going to "want" to get him the players he wanted at the next transfer window?

I’m going to be a little positive...

In the first have we looked like a professional team and we played the best we have al season.

The second half was pure misery

I guess one positive is that we now have the answer to the question “could things get any worse?”

I admit that I was surprised by the Quakes tenacity in the first half. I like the build up from Vako to Magnus to Espinoza for the goal.

But the 2nd half, OMG. Why did we sub Lima and Vako out? We need our best players on the field at all times!

Espinoza had some sweet crosses tha half. Vako choked on one that I can clearly remember. I wasn’t paying much attention to the game on tv

We played with 10 all game. I didn’t finish watching the second half, but Wondo counts as one less player.

They keep pulling Lima off early, I would have thought in this case they would have pulled TT. I think TT was getting pretty tired by the end, definitely couldn't mark his man for either the 3rd or 4th goal (I forget which).

If you really want to hate, Wondo had a big impact on the game. Didn't he injure the NYRB player that had to be subbed off early, which meant Muyl came in and he scored their first 2 goals....

Why?! Why are we playing TT as a defender? He's not a defender!! What the hell is our problem?!

Happily, I didn't get to watch the game, just the highlights, or lowlights as they are. So I got to see TT and Lopez both get skinned on goals. Great! And what about that great fitness program we had going? Our guys are going to be so fit!! Yeah, fit to be tied.

I'm pissed, but then, I fully expected this.

I wish, I really, really wish that we could be relegated.

    Go Quakes!!
    Steaming pile of shit!!!

Mark, you with the relegation too? Give it a rest. You know this team isn't going to change even if they're relegated. Hell, if anything, they would continue to suck even more and Fis'c'her would totally be OK with it, less expenses for him.

Vako had a bad day. I mean he's built his whole career on scoring important goals and he understs no one's gonna forgive him for missing those chances, his reaction shows it too. Plus he's definitely suffering under Almeydas new tactics.

I guess internationals will show if he's lost his form or if it was just an off day.

Yes, and let's also count all the time Vako lost the ball running into traffic instead of passing, though your points are well taken. When Espinoza and Magnus are our top performers on the day we are not firing on all cylinders.

I did like what I saw in the first half. However, we were wasteful, and yes, even more importantly we need to learn how to hold a lead.

Not a GS Warriors fan, but at one time they to were the laughingstock of their respective league. Then they got new, committed owners...and the rest is history. Unless we get smacked by a cataclysmic near Earth object in the near future, the future is long for our Quakes. Could also be bright, depending on circumstances over the next several years. Until then... %&#@!

What I'm saying is that we're sooooo shitty we ought to be relegated. We are so stinking terrible, that I wish we could be relegated because it is really, really embarrassing to be this bad. I wish that we could avoid the ignominy of getting torched every weekend on national TV.

I know full well that we won't be relegated, and I know full well that we won't get any better in the foreseeable future. I am peed off at how bad we are.

    Go Quakes!!
Worst team in the league!! Two years in a row!!!

I wonder how many of those cringy commercials I have to watch since we utterly suck, that sounds like the announcer is about to have an orgasm "OHHHHHH WAAAOOOWW". They get even more annoying as we lose more.

Also, take down the silly "Vamos San Jose" billboards. Not trying to sound "racist", but most latinos in this area can easily speak English, we're in the U.S, in California, where the dominant language language is English. That, as well, most Spanish speakers would sooner watch Liga Mx than the sht show going on in "SAN -JO-SAY".
Replace them with signs that say "back to back wooden spoon winners!" Might get people to attend for the comedy show.
