Sofascore gave him the lowest grade of the match. I am sure Kicker will give him similar rating. I don't put a whole of faith in those ratings, but Pulisic was just poor in this game. He has some nice moments, but not a whole lot of results/outputs. And that's coming from a guy who's a huge CP supporter. As if you can't tell from my avatar
CP can dribble and thread a pass with the best of them. No one is going to conquer the world if they require him to score consistently.
If you're gonna go down, might as well do it in a blaze of...well not glory. But it's definitely a blaze.
Yes, you can walk for 89 minutes. Showed up on the 90th minute and scored the winning goal. That's what impact players do.
I only half-watched some of it, but in broad strokes seemed pretty non-existent the 1st 30 or so, better the end of the second half, much better when he swapped to the left, and very erratic the last 20 or so as he tried to be the hero. But it's hard to say he was poor, just not very great at a few moments it would have been great if he was.
He'll have days where he'll pull that stuff off. At his age I'm still mostly looking at this tools - and even today he showed a ton of them - except shooting.
That turn around shot and the sitter both have to be on frame. If it's blocked that's fine but you cannot just completely miss both. A few times he should have passed instead of shooting but I liked aggressive pulisic
A fair quote. People hack CP to bits for missing shots he should have put on frame. But iirc the announcers said Dortmund had several more shots in this game than any BL team has had all year. And CP was a big part of generating all of that offense. He was far from the only person who wasted opportunities. And no one is mentioning the bonehead defendive miscues that led to the 2 goals. The reality us that BD should have easily won the match, CP miscues or no. Not the star, but not the goat. He does need to become more consistent. That being said...all of the whining when he doesn't get the call HAS to stop. Now! It's depressing how often he does it.
A sign that the team chemistry isn't there? Dortmund's funky season would seem to indicate some hitches in their getalong.
