None. I can honestly only remember one shot from outside the 18 that he has ever even attempted. The volley vs Real Madrid a few years ago that went over the bar.
The ball wasn't far in front. He was there, just thinking about the defender putting pressure from behind. Didn't focus on the angle and how to beat the keeper.
I feel he's hit 1 or 2 on the ground. But not over the top of the defense. That shot was in the box with no defenders in front. It's a different skill. In that area he's inconsistent.
Reus and Sancho will save Christian from drawing the ire of fans for not securing the victory at least.
Delaney is the only player with American citizenship who is covering himself with glory in this game. Shameful stuff from Ibisevic.
Again - Christian created the tying goal. But he needed to finish that sitter. He was dangerous for much of the match though. That miss and the poor decision on the break unfortunately stand out.
Reus and Sancho won this game, and they're the men of the game. CP needs to do a lot better, and need to make much better decisions. He had a few opportunities to pass the ball to his mates, but he chose to forced some poor shots. Reus was frustrated with him.
I would guess the analytics like him though. On that last goal he began the play with a nice move to get open and make the right pass. Not sure how to grade him. He just does so many skillful things in build up that are really good for the attack, but his shooting was woeful. I look at his USA goals and the kid can shoot. Just not right now.
Sancho by far. Reus was pedestrian for much of the match. That pass from Sancho was sheer magic. Messi-like. Exhausted, in the box, at pace, and nails it with the outside of the boot pass on a dime? I don't even comprehend the level of difficulty and instant creativity to pull that off.
