Pochettino is a witch doctor. Dortmund are a good team and Spurs are pretty thin squad wise and they still get good results consistently and change tactics and formations all the time. Good spot for Davinson, I'm sure he's growing a lot there.
I love Davinson but today against Arsenal there was a clear example of one of his main deficiencies. When he goes into attack he sometimes risks too much. As soon as he lost the ball there was a quick pass for a counter that led to an easy one-on-one break for the goal. Has to do better than that.
The fact that he missed the ball is not serious, as it happens to everyone, but he should position himself better so a mistake like that doesn't cost you a goal. Hopefully he learns from these errors. And hopefully Pochettino keeps trusting him.
No. There is no offside in your own half of the field. The player should have had crossed the center line (what ever the name of it is...) in order to be in offside position.
I had to close the stream cuz I couldn't watch it anymore. Glad he saved the penalty. No the best game for Davinson.
I was thinking the same thing. But I believe the Ref felt obligated to call it because the one on Kane was pretty soft too.
Yikes So Kane gets a penalty for a tap on the back & sanchez gets away with stamping on koscielny… seems fair 🤔 pic.twitter.com/5ykSV24sZc— Lewis Gardener (@gardener_lewis) March 2, 2019
He is young but they need to watch these stupid acts of agression. vAR isn’t going away so they won’t get away with it. He should be punished with 1-2 games.
Played the entire game and Spurs cruise through Dortmund...I am surprised how easy this was for them.
Davison should have cleared the ball that led to the tying Southampton goal. It’s as if he let it go past him.
As much as I want Davinson to do be well - he’s made a lot of mistakes at club and NT level. Many of us look the other way or give him a free pass, but at some point that gravy train will come to a halt. He does a lot of good stuff and his pace is remarkable. Hopefully, it will come together and he will be a top 10 world defender. https://streamvi.com/watch.php?video=1552149237
