The Dynamo are due for a new primary shirt this year. It will almost certainly be primarily orange.

It looks like we might get a whole new type of kit. The Dynamo have always had an orange shirt, white shorts, and orange socks as their primary kit. Occasionally the team has worn all orange but that was never the main look. Blue accents have sometimes come and gone.

This photo shows orange shorts and socks with black accents. Not any sort of guarantee that this is the primary game day kit but you never know.

In the original years Adidas gave us Raven Black shorts right off the bat. Ching and Rico and our guys wore them with the Naranja shirt and Naranja socks. As well on the road with our White shirt and White socks we used the Raven Black shorts. Obviously, us supporters in EB told our FO back then to create a Raven Black kit. We made our own back then. Our FO did not put that order through with Adidas until just recently, earning a lot of money for our club. The Raven Black kit and looking above added Raven Black trim to the shorts and socks is very solid looking.
Here is old Ale in 2006.

Adidas isn't making long sleeve jerseys anymore.

Yeah I heard that. I was mostly referring to the color scheme.

I'm seeing some chatter that the new primary jersey will be announced on Thursday, February 21.

There is a least one report that it will be based on this template in various shades of orange. We shall see.

    I don’t personally like the design at all. I think it’s a 1990 U-10 design.
And I would absolutely hate it if I were the guy who negotiated the MD Anderson sponsorship deal. Unless they use a big solid Color block with the sponsor logo, it would get lost in that barf of a print fabric.

And a big solid color block would destroy the print pattern if you happen to like the print.

I actually like the jersey, but I'm skeptical the all orange with orange stripes will look good. Seems like it defeats the point and we get something reminiscent of the what year was it, the 2012 Sunburst "pereptual motion" jersey.

On another note, I don't know how MD Anderson can be pleased with how hard their text is to view on the black jerseys. Maybe my eyes are shot, but I could barely tell there was any text on those jerseys in the Champions League game and I certainly couldn't read it.

You're not alone. Might as well not have had a sponsor name on that jersey, was impossible to see.

Dz3YmizX4AAhBpl.jpeg I was going to say kudos to the Dynamo for not having a leak of the jersey before launch but if post #8 is true then.... Technically not a jersey leak but....

The new kit is out. The stripes are pretty subdued. We are getting an all orange kit as the primary. I wonder if they will have white shorts to mix in.

very nice! both the jersey and the jersey rollout. paired with the pregame discount concessions and it looks like someone in the FO actually cares/is doing their job.

The home shirt design is very 90s. Meh. But it is no worse than the swirl.

I anticipated this before but the sponsor logo crossout disappears into the rainbow bar on the away shirt.

I still think black is hot for the south. My other concern would be whether the recent shift to black away, plus this pure orange thing, is basically conceding Atlanta and Cincy the white jerseys (with orange fringes) market. To me, in the south, I would want to keep my dibs on white for some or all of the jersey.

We need to play Blackpool one year.

Almost every team in MLS now has a white jersey. Apparently MLS is mandating a light and a dark shirt for every team. Most teams are going with white. Our orange is light enough that it counts instead of a white shirt. It looks to me like we will have an orange and a black shirt for a while.

    Some of the new jerseys:

All white on a flag is the color of surrender.
    No thanks.
Now, all white flag with a big bad ass, all black cannon, and the words COME AND TAKE IT on it. You bet!!!

Give me our colors. We have three of 'em! And our Raven Black jerseys have sold like hot cakes! Making lots of money for our club. Our FO finally got what us hinchas made in black jerseys back in 2007. We told them for years to make a black top. Glad it has stuck.
Plus we could use grey as well, have a grey jersey with the black shorts and orange trim. Like our training uniforms in that Houston vs. RGV preseason match at BBVA.
I do prefer the traditional Holland and Blackpool look that we have had since 2006. Orange/White/Orange over the all Orange that we have worn, like away to LAG some years back. On the road if we do use all Orange, it is how our old NASL Houston HurricanE used to roll, that was their all Orange away kit.

worshipping false idols. this is the great one. and it's nunya on the primary color but does keep the orange.

black, which is hot, has turned into the primary, often worn in our hot neck of the woods. if it was an away jersey worn at night in san jose or under an atlanta dome, fine. but i don't get going out and signing a bunch of tropical climate Latins -- perhaps in part because they are climate-ready -- but then undercut your advantage and say, guess what guys, i am dressing you in all black because you didn't need any of that water weight.

the studies i have seen it is several degrees difference between white and dark performance shirts, and even better -- like dozens of degrees -- in a plain white tee. i realize we will never go plain white tee but this hints at the hierarchy of cooling. we are not going to wear some pile of fabric out there like a bedouin where the fabric heat doesn't radiate down to the skin, which is the sort of counter intuitive rubbish i hear argued in favor of black.

Surprised to see people like this shirt. I think it is horrible. I'm going to call it the Frosted Flakes shirt because you'll look like Tony the Tiger wearing it. Not to mention that it looks like a t-shirt.

when you look at the Dynamo ticket buying site and see the amount of available seats not sold for the opener - as well as a reddit link to $12 & $15 no fee tickets - somebody better be caring about their job.

A'int gonna get there with hip snarky social media posts
