Juve expecting to get more from Ramsey in the forward two CMs. I suspect he will replace khedira, but I don’t watch the old lady a lot. I don’t think Wenger misused Ramsey necessarily, just think he needs more defined role to excel rather than the Jazz we played under AW. Also, AW could never keep him fit. Ironically, while emery hasn’t relied on Ramsey much, I think he has been pretty decent this season if not superb, and he’s been fit nearly the whole season.

Arsenal right now reminds me of Newcastle in the early to mid aughts.

I'm putting my fingers in my ears and loudly singing "la la la la la la" because that's just too scary a thought.

We are like Liverpool after they won the league 30 years ago

Not sure where to post this

Hopefully the rise Douzi means we can get rid of Xhaka soon

I’m pretty sick of the club bashing around. It was pretty much unanimous that there needed to be change and change we have received. It was never going to be pretty.

Now there needs to be patience which is seriously in short supply. This iteration of emery, sanllehi, monchi or whomever may not work either. But we need to give them a chance to do their job without demanding immediate results. It’s short termism that ruins clubs.

Currently, we sit as good as we could have reasonably expected. The summer was fun and interesting, we had a long unbeaten run, scored a few amazing goals, beat spurs and chavs at home, point against pool, showed up against city, only went out of the domestic cups against worthy competition, we are still in the EL and within striking distance of 4th. All that and all I see are people bitching about shot counts in games we’ve won.

One clear Monchi mistake, choosing Pastore over Ziyech.

Easy there. Just having a laugh. I'm not calling for Emery's sacking at this point. And I certainly understand that it's difficult to cobble together a decent defense with all the injuries we've suffered. Nevertheless, I do think the offensive numbers are a bit worrying given the talent at his disposal in that regard.

I would hope that Guendouzi could take some of Xhaka's minutes, but Xhaka is a useful CM and we should keep him unless somebody offers a crapton of money.

Real talk, we aren't even doing the things we were doing to create goals. I don't care about the shot numbers, the mechanics we were using to win games have vanished with the injuries.

Watching Mustafi not know what to do with the ball is going to get old quick.

Agreed. It's very hard to follow. It does seem like it most likely was a mash up of quotes stuck together. But if the general idea is that Overmars thinks Sanchez can come back, then it is wrong, and Overmars needs to stay out of the dutch cafes.

PSG rumored to be after Duezy.

Rumors that Barca has agreed a 170k/wk precontract with Rabiot.

    CB Ben Godfrey
    GK Nick Pope
    LB Grimaldo

This morning Banega rumors appear to be resurfacing. That might be the last straw for me. You don't produce championship teams by signing older players just because they played for you before. I may have to find a team in another league to watch.

Agree on Banega (age). Won't abandon Arsenal but I have been trying to find a club in another league to follow (thinking German; like their style and my cable package gets ton of German league). Decisions like this could quickly escalate that process.

Or don't follow a team in particular

Just surf the narrative of the season

IMO the idea of following a team is quite old fashioned

I get that but I enjoy following transfers, academy players, etc... and it is hard to do that for an entire league and have any vested interest at all. I enjoy watch good soccer but like having someone to root for.

Break the bank for de Ligt, sell Mustafi.

Would love Suso if he’s not too expensive. Was Milan’s best player for 2 seasons.

Rumored release clause of 30-35m. Milan is trying to re-sign him so they can get rid of the release clause or increase it. He has been hesitant so far. They were rumored to be interested in Miki. If Suso seems destined to leave, maybe we can arrange a swap?
