Also, can you send a link cause this could easily just be a photoshop job? I just searched on lids.com and couldn't find anything.
They took it down. Looks like the LIDS website may have accidentally leaked @NashvilleSC's MLS crest. Wouldn't be the first time a merch site has done that, won't be the last. https://t.co/p5rAWwTg9h pic.twitter.com/VibM0ODp3e— Pablo Iglesias Maurer (@MLSist) February 14, 2019
Way better than the old Nashville one! The SoundWave for Music City is original. I was worried it was going to have a guitar.
I actually VERY much prefer the current USL logo if that is what you are referring to when you say "old". They could have done the sound waves without putting it on top of a road sign background. It looks like a logo that would be better suited for the Crew.
Personally I think that looks abysmal. It's difficult to make out, essentially becoming visual clutter that doesn't in any way inspire or convey "Nashville," IMO. Not the kind of thing that resonates as a clear and obvious sporting brand.
Hopefully, for Nashville's sake, this is one of those intentional leaks and either: 1. This is just a silly prank, because that logo is so atrocious. Or 2. This was a way to gauge reactions. Now they see how awful it is in public, they abandon it.
For some reason I'm thinking of a railroad freight car when I see that. Totally unimaginative, you can do that with any letter or color scheme. It reminds me of the company that makes logos for Yute soccer clubs where there are like 3-4 generic designs and you can pick the letter(s) or insert the name of your team and voila! You've got logo and Bob's your uncle! (sorry, couldn't resist pulling it over from another thread)
You mean Arsenal Colorado? All signs point to that just being incompetence, not a trial balloon. The team was all set to switch names before Nike squashed it (thank god).
Absolutely putrid--looks like no money at all was spent on design research or pre-marketing opinions to see how the public would react. Looks like something an 8 yr old would do and call a logo.
But enough about the MLS 1.0 crayon scribble that NE Revs still call a logo, let's talk about Nashville!
