Let’s hope he’s s good one for us, the right pick and arguable first overall talent on the board . No brainer with Amaya taken by Cincy
With the No. 2 pick in the @MLS #SuperDraft, the Quakes select VCU standout Siad Haji! pic.twitter.com/j7FtjFCOpo— San Jose Earthquakes (@SJEarthquakes) January 11, 2019
ESPNFC: How Siad Haji immigrated from Kenya, fell through U.S. Soccer's cracks and still rose to No. 2 in MLS SuperDraft Good read about his background.
From the article, it seems he could develop into the #10 we've all be crying for here. Sounds, though, as though he has a lot of growing up to do in the meantime. Good luck!
Yeah, 150 pounds for 5'8" is not particularly light, and given that players like Thompson noticeably put on muscle post becoming a pro, it's pretty easy to imagine the kid putting on 5 or 10 pounds.

Sure, the only chance I get to make a Jonny Quest reference and you ruin it! And Hadji obviously rocked it!
His ball control, vision and acceleration all look like they could translate to MLS right now, and he's only just turned 19 -- I didn't see a single bad first touch in that video. He also was pretty involved defensively it seems so he could play on the wing if his long speed is sufficient. I bet he logs some minutes in MLS this year, though he will certainly need to add a little muscle as he gets older.
Yeah but in Almeyda's system they are counted on to man man the opposing fullback/ wing back. From that ESPN article: "I just hope for the kid that the right group gets him, that understands how to develop a player because if they do, there's senior national team potential on the back end." How lucky Siad is that we fired Mika
