Multiple people have seemed to notice this as the manager's tactical selection... this isn't FIFA 19.

That said, as you suggest JBL has done very little today, I'm just not sure how much that matters. We'll know if CP replaces JBL on the left anytime soon.

Foul on Pulisic for studs up ball picked out of the air. Both players went for the ball the same way, of course.

Pulisic looks like he has no interest in being there, and he's playing accordingly. So far, at least, another in a series of disappointing performances.

He created the called back goal and their other best shot. He's outplaying Bruun Larsen and Gotze, who have been awful. None of the defensive mishaps were his. But it feels like he's under a mandate not to just try to beat his man down the line, which they probably could have used more of. And this possession offense is just too slow.

Who has been better? Witsel? Reus? Team has just been bad today.

Everyone looks pretty bad. Sancho on for JBL to mix things up and I bet they could get energized and win this.

He's also the reason the goal was called back because he was in a stupid position.

I'm not suggesting that anybody else has been particularly good, but Pulisic has more to prove than most of them do.

Prove to who? He is considered by nearly everyone to be one of the top u20s in the world. You know that, right?

First sub burned Toprak for Akanji, like-for-like. I'd go with Alcacer for Gotze and Sancho for Bruun Larsen minute 60-75 unless BVB picks one up soon.

People get so sensitive when Pulisic gets criticized.

He has played 395 minutes across Dortmund's 15 league games going into today. For one of the world's top prospects, that's pretty ********ing bad.

If you think he's doing well, I'm happy to hear that argument, but I think it's a much more compelling argument to say that he has been extremely disappointing this season on a good Dortmund team, and that the disappointing performances have continued into today's game.

BVB called for 11 fouls, Fortuna for 2. Despite 73% of the possession. That hasn't helped.

He hasn't been great, but he's also not been available for lots of minutes this season due to injury. If he was healthy and played < 400 mins that would say more.

Zimmer great 35 yard shot from the right side to the absolute top corner. 2-0 and BVB now in a lot of trouble.

Alcacer warming up for Gotze, question is will Sancho be for Pulisic or Brunn Larsen.

    Sancho for Bruun Larsen
    Alcacer for Delaney

90 minutes for Pulisic today! Hopefully these subs wake Dortmund up.

Bad performances? I’d like to hear which ones other than away to Atleti. That’s really been his only bad performance this year. He’s been good, and especially lately.

Change of midfield formation, inverting the triangle, I assume. Well, they can't field more attacking talent than this. CP switching sides to the left, Sancho on the right.

It looks like the Sancho sub pushed Pulisic to the left.

His first action there is a dribble into the middle, where he loses possession, and commits a professional foul to prevent the counter, earning a yellow.

Turnover and yellow for Pulisic as he can't be the second man.

Loses ball after too many touches, another foul. Yellow. Meh.

See if he can combine with Alcacer and Sancho to make something happen...
