Very big win, too. Alcorcon had a chance to go top of the table and temporarily, I think, this result moved Rues out of the relegation zone. Last I looked the La Liga 2 was pretty damn tight top to bottom. I can only assume pitching a shutout and going 90, Shaq played a solid game.
Rumors already of where USMNT DF Shaq Moore ends up next. Segunda B side Hercules (3rd level) are interested. This is all assuming of course that Reus disappear come Monday. https://t.co/JsQOCaa0Wm— Arch Bell (@ArchBell) December 14, 2018 https://alicanteplaza.es/el-hercules-pregunta-por-shaq-moore
Yes, he is still on loan. Levante sit 6th or 7th in the La Liga table but chances are slim at the moment. I assume Shaq would recalled and train with Levante and then sent out on loan in Jan. That would make sense.
It's amazing how a country with an economy that is as much in shambles as the Greek one has the best league in the planet. I don't know whether to give the Spaniards kudos for it, or tell them they should worry about fixing their country instead of being so good at football. Anyway, I don't see where the money is going to come from. Oliver is dry, the entire TV network business in Catalunya is dry, and the whole economy is in a hole that is deep and dark. Monday at 11:59 pm the club will be dissolved if there's no money coming. Some of the auxiliary personnel have been unpaid even longer than the players. You know the situation is bad when half of your players are back living with their parents. Anyway, the situation is dire for Reus, for Catalonya, for the whole of Spain. But La Liga is heads and shoulders the best league in the planet. Honest. https://www.elperiodico.com/es/depo...o-acaba-jugadores-bartolo-joan-oliver-7202570

Hercules are almost certain to win promotion. Wouldn’t be a bad move. In the meantime, Shaq can’t seem to get a break when it comes to clubs. Second failing team he has been on: ”On Saturday night, fans plan to demonstrate in support of Reus players. The match against Cordoba could be the club's last game since players have filed a complaint about being unpaid for the last three months, and if they aren't paid by the beginning of next week, they will become free agents.” Edit: Apologies. I see this was reported on the previous page. https://www.socceramerica.com/publi...aign=20444&hashid=IUsf5WVmc_JBMFojJBG2pqpJ8oU
why is that way more likely in Spain and Italy compared to England/Germany? Is it cultural to some degree? Is it just the mis-management of finances or some form of corruption as well?
Obviously. The countries where it doesn't happen have various legal mechanisms to ensure that players go to the head of the queue when it comes to getting paid, even ahead of the banks, so that the side can at least field a side until the end of the season. That's England. Before the season starts, the Ligue and the BL demand the kind of access to a side's books that Robert Muller will get to Trump's finances: if they don't like the accounting you don't get a license to play in the division and are relegated. In fact, as Quentin Westberg can attest, if la Ligue doesn't like the long-term financial risks of your business model, bond or no bond, they will simply refuse you promotion.
The more subjunctive you have in a language, the less fiscally responsible the people who use such language are.
I'm told that Shaq Moore's club Reus has begun paying players again and intends to stay in Spain's second tier, so the plan (so long as Reus continues to move in a positive direction) is for Moore to finish out his loan and return to Levante at the end of the season. #usmnt— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) December 19, 2018

Osasuna played the last 10 with 10 men and still had the better chance. The only way Reus saves itself from relegation is if they go bankrupt first.
Looks like his loan is over. Doubtful. Levante are one of Spain's struggling clubs, but they're riding high this season and challenging for Europe. They're unlikely to mess with a winning formula, so recalling Shaq to the squad makes no sense. The return is surely for financial and sporting reasons: if Reus can't pay afford to pay their share of hius wages - and clubs with their financial problems tend to have problems on an ongoing basis - Levante are on the hook for all of Shaquell's wages, bonuses, etc. Sporting-wise Reus' performances have been dire since their financial problems broke open and they're on track for relegation. Not likely to be a good place for a young player to develop either, so why leave hem there? Maybe they'll see something they like during training, and he has reclaimed his place and has been going 80'+ recently so there's that, but the most likely move is another loan.
