So it looks like the Pity Martinez deal is all but confirmed. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018...rget-pity-martinez-leave-river-plate-end-year Turns out the fee was €15 million, not $15 million. So if this is true, that means his transfer fee is roughly $17 million. New record, third year in a row by Atlanta. Almiron for $8 million, bench warmer Barco for $15 million, and now this. FFS.....
2018 season is over. 2019 expansion draft is in less than 24 hours. 2019 season is here already!! haha.
Unless Barco turns it on this year this investment was going to be a huge waste. Literally will be sold for peanuts in 2 years.
FCC Expansion Draft: 1st - Darren Mattocks DC 2nd - Kei Kamara VAN (Traded to Colorado for a Int'l Spot) 3rd - Roland Lamah FCD 4th - Eric Alexander HOU 5th - Hassan Ndam NYRB And picked up Greg Garza from ATL for $450k in garberbucks in a trade. Not too bad. Facing Mattocks always scares me and Ndam will be a locked in starter. Good trade for Garza too.
Cincy just traded for Kendall Waston from Vancouver. That's a really smart move on their part, I like him a lot.
Not gonna argue about whether or not he is good anymore but I disagree with you. Players on teams can very well help the fact that their teams are total shit. In fact, I think it's one of the only ways.
I think Watsons best days are behind him. Overall I am really surprised by the moves they made yesterday. They took on some contracts that seem to eat up money for players I am not sure is worth it. Unless they can negotiate those numbers down.
Waston isnt as good as a couple years ago, for sure, but he had that Aja guy playing next to him, who was an Orlando reject. How bad do you have to be to be an Orlando reject? They also had Levis at left, basically an USL defender. Two terrible rotating GKs. I mean, one guy can only do so much. Not a surprise Tim Parker leaves for NY, and Vancouver goes from playoff team to total shit. Him and Waston were a great pair.

Welp, this cements that he's crap. I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong, and I was wrong about him.
I was really surprised how people were so cool about welcoming him back. He jumps ship and then just comes back like it was no big thing.
I think the reason was twofold. One, we gave him a pass for not wanting to deal with the drama of the Precourt/Austin mess. Two, he plays on the wing, which was more than we could say for the rest of the roster.
It's not official. GBS could still come here. The Porter story got it wrong. Porter was still using us to play LA. Shut up, Thad J.! It could happen.
Galaxy make it official. https://t.co/bAEp6j3EPa— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) January 2, 2019 Excuse me a moment while I die on the inside.
