Wright didn't make the bench. Rough go for the guy.

Also, I'm rooting for the Americans.

Looks like the Schalke supporters section is getting super stoned. Let's see how our guys play with a contact high.

Before the match started, Warren Barton said he was going to get a chance to play as an 8. So yeah: huh.

    Nice goal by BVB.

WTF was that. IanJoy with a statement about Larsen keeping CP on the bench and then no reply. nothing! Just thought that would have been a little talking point that we want to know more about.
Delaney, half a yank, with a nice header.

Yeah. I don't know if I want VAR for every yellow card foul, but it'd be nice to have a mechanism to correct that. Simulation continues to be too effective of a tactic.

Yeah, maybe we'll hear more. Larsen vs Pulisic. Seems to me Larsen consistently leans more to the support player side of things. He plays well without trying to hit the highlights Pulisic does. Maybe that's what is expected out of that position?

Man Sancho is good. He might be worth more than Dembele in a year.

Witsel in the cement mixer on that play.

Hell of a stop by Burki.

Pulisic gets nagging muscle injures here and there (it has become a trend, and that makes me wonder about how he is keeping himself up) and doesn't produce as much as BVB may want so other guys are gonna get a shot to start. This is life at a big club.

Those calf injuries are weird. They seem to heal quickly and remain susceptible to reinjury for a long time. I was told by my doctor that muscle tears heal about 80 percent within 2 weeks and then the final healing can take months. I'd like to think, though, that CP's decisions about his injuries and fitness are not up to him alone.

And Berghstaller goes off injured. He gets replaced by a LB. Would have been nice to have a forward on the bench, quality or not.

Jovan: "It's not like Larsen has been tearing it up" in reference to Costigan's statement that Larsen has been a favorite under Favre

I may be jaded, but I think Sancho is being found out. He was a mystery last year with spotty appearances. He was very good the first few games. It seems he is being focused on more now by defenders. His dribbling skills are top notch, but it's hard to beat 2 or 3 defenders. They will let you dribble until you have no where to go and are triple teamed. He does do what CP did 2 years ago, head down and move. Not knocking, just saying.

Nah, he's got a bad case of the Arjen Robbens. He just can't be bothered . His mates are at arsenal Barcelona Bayern. He doesnt care much for Fivvrs style and I reckon he's already moved on in his mind.

Wonder if we see Puli in the second half and I wonder about "how" fit he is. It seems to be a common thing after injury layoff to get a run out before getting a start.

Weston giving it a go, I don't think he has a real future as a forward, but he is a gamer, and although I want BVB to win it would be nice to see him a get a goal for all his hard work.

I also wonder how much effect the Puli transfer rumors have on his PT??

It is hard for me to believe that anybody actually thinks JBL is better than Pulisic. Maybe it is my RWB glasses, but I can't see it. I think JBL be a serviceable player at this level, but right now, I don't see him as better than an out of form Pulisic.

I think Favre likes to keep some tactical options on the bench. Dortmund are not asking 70 mil for a "sub" with 18 mos left on his contract.

More likely than not. He’s literally one of the only ones left from a couple years ago with Burki, Piz, Kagawa, and Reus.

Now, now no need to get all obscene on our boy with comparisons such as that. I will grant that it was a few games ago and I said he looked to me to be checked out. Of course i am a couple of thousand miles away reading body language through a computer screen so WTH do i know.

Hahaha classic line from the commentator on McKennie: "He chases everything! If a bus came by, he'd be after it right now"

I’ve got the Fox Match Pass with international announcers. Of McKinnie: “he’ll chase anything!”
