Some very interesting matches this weekend 7 Dec Aarau - Vaduz - Two teams going in opposite directions 8 Dec LS - Servette - Can LS slow down Servette? Schaffhausen - Kriens RJ - Chiasso - Will Chiasso fall even further behind? 9 Dec Winterthur - Wil "Battle of the W" Who will get the "W"?
No! A win for Servette and we can declare this race over! It will be nice to have them back in the top flight!
The LS-Servette match will be streamed here for free. https://www.sfl.ch/fr/challengeleague/matchcenter/live/
7 Dec Aarau - Vaduz 3-1 8 Dec LS - Servette 1-1 Pretty even match, the first 60 min were Servette, the last 30 or so were LS Schaffhausen - Kriens 3-2 Late goal by Banjaku seals the win for Schaffhausen. RJ - Chiasso 0-2 RJ misses a great chance to all but ensure that Chiasso would be in a massive hole. 9 Dec Winterthur - Wil 0-0 Both clubs missed a chance to close the gap on Servette. Servette 34 Wil 29 Winterthur 28 LS 27 Schaffhausen 25 Aarau 25 Vaduz 19 RJ 18 Kriens 16 Chiasso 15
Hard to believe that Aarau went from 4 points from ninth place at the foot of the table just 6 weeks ago to 4 points out from the scramble. Simply unreal. I also had Chiasso pegged for relegation, and now they're 1 point behind Kriens, who appear to be sinking like a stone. Who could figure out this league??

Last round 14 Dec Servette - RJ - Servette is they win could go up by 8 points 15 Dec Kriens - Aarau - Considering how poor they started the season, a win could put the team at 23 points, that would be amazing. 16 Dec Chiasso - Winterthur Wil - LS - This should be a really good match Vaduz - Schaffhausen
14 Dec Servette - RJ 4-1 2 late goals make this one look far different that it was. RJ scored off a counter first, but had two very good chances before that. Servette's 1st goal was an own goal, followed by a PK. Not the best performance heading into the break by Servette. 15 Dec Kriens - Aarau 1-2 Will the real Aarau please stand up! What a turn around. Kriens looks like they and Chiasso will be in a real battle. 16 Dec Chiasso - Winterthur 1-3 Three goals in 25 min in the first half put the match on ice for Winterthur. Wil - LS 0-2 The 2nd goal came in the 90' as Wil was pressing for their own goal, but this allows LS to finish the fall with some momentum. A loss would have put them in 4th place, 10 points behind Servette. Vaduz - Schaffhausen 1-1 A match that really does not help either side. Servette 37 Winterthur 31 LS 13 Wil 4 Schaffhausen 26 Aarau 23 Vaduz 20 RJ 18 Kriens 16 Chiasso 15 Biggest difference for Aarau, they are scoring goals now. Their GD is -1 now. A far cry from where they were just a few weeks ago.

Some good news for LS, the work on the Stade de la Tuilière is progressing well. The club will get the "keys" to the stadium in May 2020. With the 2020/2021 season being the first season in the stadium.

8 Feb Vaduz - LS 9 Feb RJ - Aarau Kriens - Winterthur 10 Feb Chiasso - Servette Wil - Schaffhausen Servette had better be wary of an improved Chiasso. Three teams for 2nd place right now.

Vaduz 3 points from the drop. I'm confident that they'll stay up, but, suffice to say, these last 3 months are going to be squeaky bum time.
