Sorry if this has been discussed which teams from the BCL if they win the title would have no license issues?

I think that Servette, Vaduz and LS were the ones that would be fine. Wil might as well as well as Schaffhausen.

As Rob said, LS, Servette, and Vaduz would be the only ones who would initially have no problem going up.

Schaffhausen could probably appeal for a license given their stadium, but they wouldn't meet the money requirements of a license.

Wil and Winterthur wouldn't meet stadium requirements. These teams don't have enough physical seats. Aarau would also not meet stadium requirements despite being in the Super League in the last few years.

Chiasso, Kriens, and Rapperswil-Jona can't meet stadium or money requirements.

Wil's stadium, although new, only has a very small section of seats.
Now, Wil could play in St Gallen, and Winterthur could play in Zurich. This would meet the stadium requirement. That would kill their attendance, and I am not sure how three teams in Zurich would work.

One other interesting note. Servette's Alain Geiger's has advocated for a 12 team RSL and a 12 team BCL.

    The article is here.

Another interesting note from the article, speaking of possible promotion "We are ambitious," says Geiger. "Our plan is for the next two or three years."

I see two things here. Do not set up fan base to win this year. Also, he wants a team that will be able to stay up in the RSL, not fall back to the BCL.

Wil could play at kybunpark, and I don't necessarily think the canton would have a problem with it. They rent out to the stadium to Zurich teams whenever they have an early season Europa League game when the Letzigrund is occupied. The question would be if Wil wants to pay the rent there. Also, their finances were in a bad way after their last owners almost ran them into the ground a couple of years ago, so I'm not sure if they'll even meet the monetary requirements.

As for Winti, there's no possible way for them to share the Letzigrund with two other teams. The field would be torn to shreds. If it were a turf field, I would say maybe, but it's not possible. Ironically enough, they're closer to LIPO-Park in Schaffhausen, and that's a stadium that would pass Super League requirements. Of course, it would be hilarious if this were to happen given the rivalry of the two teams, but there's no chance of that happening. Winti spent a lot of money a couple of years ago upgrading the Schutzenwiese, too. The stand on the far side of the field that is brand new is all concrete, but there's no possible seating for it. It was designed for people to stand and lean against railings, or to sit on the concrete. Although they'd be happy with being promoted, I don't know how happy they would be knowing that they'd have to leave the Schutzenwiese.

Of course, all of this is moot with Servette set to get promoted anyway. :D

I agree on your two points. The SFL did all kinds of work two years ago to determine if the Super League should be expanded, or if the league should make changes, but all of those ideas were shot down, and we're exactly where we were, minus the addition of the scramble 9th RSL/2nd BCL match. I don't think we're going to see any changes made moving forward, no matter how much some changes may need to be made.

I think that Wil playing at kybunpark would be a non starter from a financial position. They are only averaging 1,136 for a competitive team in a stadium that is 5 min walk from the train station, which is right in the middle of the city. (I did it about 6 years ago). I would have to see what type of numbers they would have.

I also think that the idea of playing in Zurich and Schaffhausen are non starters for Winterthur as KennsingtonSC has explained as well. I had forgotten that the far side is terraces only, like Wil for that matter.

Good news for Aarau - the long delayed vote for a new stadium looks like it will happen in January.

Schaffhausen - Aarau 1-3 Maierhofer is turning into a really good signing by the club.

    24 Nov
LS - Winterthur 5-1 LS returns to winning ways in a very emphatic way.
Servette - Vaduz 4-1 5 in a row for Servette

    25 Nov
Chiasso - Kriens 3-3 Chiasso gave up 2 pks and were down 1-3 in the 75, but came back for a draw. Too bad only
RJ - Wil 0-1 Wil stays ahead of LS in 2nd place with the win.

    Servette 30
    Wil 28
    LS 25
    WInterthur 24
    Schaffhausen 19
    Vaduz 18
    RJ 17
    Kriens 16
    Aarau 16
    Chiasso 12

The odd thing is that Aarau, could end up in 6th place by the end of next week. With the terrible start to the season they had, that is nice to see. I really think Chiasso is going down.

I was very worried...if they can stay healthy they could be quite competitive come the spring.

And then it is not ... The vote has been pushed for later in 2019. It turns out that Aarau's President Alfred Schmid, will resign in the summer of 2019, and the vote can only be done once the new president is put into place.

Vaduz - RJ 3-3 Back and forth match that was very entertaining.

    1 Dec
Kriens - Winterthur 1-2 Late goal from Ousmane Doumbia gave the win to Winterthur

    2 Dec
    Wil - Schaffhausen 1-2
    Aarau - LS 2-2
    Servette - Chiasso 5-1

    Servette 33
    Wil 28
    Winterthur 27
    LS 26
    Schaffhausen 22
    Vaduz 19
    RJ 18
    Aarau 17
    Kriens 16
    Chiasso

One small stat to show how dominating Servette has been lately. Their GD is +21, Wil is only +6. Why do I think that Chiasso is going to be relegated, their GD is -19, while Kriens is only -3.

I know this isn't the spot for this but I feel I have a very limited audience who might be interested. I have a small collection of Swiss club shirts and I am looking to downsize and sell them off. If interested please visit www.mwswiss.weebly.com

    Nice collection.

The 90s era LS jersey is something.
