believe I saw him once on twitter claiming that his bro could make it for Germany by 2022 WC. He's still a German youth eligible until the 2023 U21 Euros. He needs to cement himself at Hertha 1st, has only played scrap minutes. 1 assist (game winning one) in 4 games playing 30 minutes total. he pretty much got blocked from the 1st team by new signing 98-Dilrosun who hasnt done anything since September. Had a great start for Hertha but seems to have cooled down a lot. besides Dardai during preseason kept saying that Jastrzembski being a speed monster will make him useful for scrap minutes besides not wanting to overdo it on a 18 year old.
Well Dilrosun is a famous wonderkid among Europe at his age group but he’s 2 years older I think Jastrzembski is good talent too, can be loaned out to a promoted team and have regular match practice. The problems with our youngsters is that no matter how highly they are rated, when they’re loaned out they usually failed to impress.
too many factors play into loans being success or not. Some clubs take in players on loan but then those players are only back up players. Club would rather play their own. Other times, they are never given chances too. Also loan players do tend to generally (not always) have shorter leashes than club owned. the German-Russian dual, Maximilian Pronichev (plays for Russia) is extremely angry that Aue have given him 0 chances and seems likely to be recalled by Hertha in Winter. you also have to take into account where they are loaned out, is it a struggling club or not? Does anyone think Abouchabaka for example will score/assist a ton for Furth? Besides being only 18, that club only has like 1-2 performers. Fein for one in midfield seems to be doing well in his 2BL loan, has become part of the XI. besides there aren't many German loans these days, clubs seem to be dumping most players in RL.
I think for loans it's not about overimpressing,it's more about getting match practice at a higher level and enhancing one's skills. If your given a chance to play and improve and don't play like shit, get consistent that's good enough. Why do you think Abouchabaka went on loan for 2 years because RB Leipzig have 0 interest in players with no pro experience. They even take 2nd division players but ignore U19 experience. It's why he made the decision with his manager to go on loan instead of wasting another year in the low level of U19. He already performed in U19 last season. Made his pro debut vs Dortmund too and in both games as a pro, kid didn't look at out place. His match over the weekend will only get him more chances. sure RB/Nagelsmann might not bother with him in 2 years because they could be buying players but he can easily catch the eye of other 1BL clubs.

I think players who are from countries that have NT successes could be spurred to join those teams. Ones like Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast from Africa for example. we are also getting more youth players who are German-Morrocan. The more Morocco does well at International levels. The more those players will be tempted. I think when it comes to duals/triples, the worst thing for any country is the 2026-onwards expanded WC. Teams that never made the WC, will start making them, which will open up even more players who will choose other countries. Same with expanded Euros, which had Albania, Sloavakia, Wales, Northern Ireland, Iceland qualify for the 1st time back in 2016.

And of coz we have Tah, Sule, Kehrer those young defenders.... how is it possible to cap Uduokhai, Anton, Torunarigha n Akpoguma all at a time? Nah, won’t force it. Selke is getting closer to getting more playing time after that goal while Hertha was 10 men and impressing in the game. He was after all injured for awhile while Ibisevic was doing well. Now Ibi has had a drought. the interesting ones from that list are Selke, Torunarigha, Anton, Serdar Needs consistency/improvement. Dahoud and Oztunali. More difficult for Oztunali playing for Mainz, that club has a good defense but struggling to score. Oztunali is more of a provider/creator than scorer. Doing that for Mainz isn't easy. Just returned from long term injury, and wait on how he does again. Amiri Need to fix their club situation (1st 2)/establish themselves (3rd). Sabiri, Uduokhai Eckert
I mean Anton, Akpoguma, Uduokhai n Toronto are all on the list But 4 young CBs? And we have others like Ginter, Sule, Tah, Kehrer... It’s a competitive position. I think as long as Torunarigha is capped by us, the other three doesn’t matter
I didn't say to cap these players only the interesting ones. we don't need Akpoguma. Tah has been OK this season, Ginter isn't a guarantee in the NT especially once Low gets an RB. The whole point is competition for places. If someone is better than they deserve the call up. Uduokhai is nowhere near the NT, can't get more than 5 minutes, that's why I said he needs to figure out his club 1st, then he needs to perform and consistency. Besides these things are also based on injuries, some players get called up because another is injured. While Hummels-Boa are both 30 already and getting closer to aging out. Also about having depth to a position.
With Sule, Rudiger, Kehrer (who is doing better n better in PSG), Ginter n Tah. We have some decent prospects at CB Then Torunarigha who I rate, Anton/Uduokhai/Baumgartl are more or less same level Still think Beyer should be developed as CB in long run, then we also have Mai. Many decent options CB is a position where I don’t really too care about dual-nationals. Far too many young options
Overall it seems CB is an area where the youth coaching has been pretty successful in recent years, lots of good options/depth coming through. It seems that,on the whole, more clubs are willing to trust young CB's and give them playing time then they are young strikers.
I think CB, “8” and wingers, we have plenty of options Now the problem positions are fullbacks n strikers. GK is ok, Florian Muller n Nubel will slowly pick up, Frommann is another GK with good prospect. GK tend to breakout slightly later than other positions, because the Veteran Gk can start until they are 34/35 n there is only one starting GK spot to fight for. There aren’t many young strikers who are starting in 1BL or 2BL. Arp and David Otto have their problems, Serra is doing reasonably well and we have to wait until Florian Kruger play.
Are coaching policies going to be adapted to allow for more focus on striker development? Imo It should be seen as a specialist position with a more defined/specific skill set, not an extension of the midfield.
would say the real dual issue could end up being striker in the long run. U21 NT will only keep players in the program until they are 22-23 (22 is odd year birth and 23 is even born year birth) but how long before they start to lose patience with Germany for not getting call ups? Imagine a dual striker becomes impressive at 27, too bad/late he's already switched. even more so if they could to be 1st choice in other NT, while being younger.
