I just hope Mancini treats the USA game as real match and not a fluff friendly for guys like Tonali and Grifo. He can't afford to waste minutes.

How boring! 0-0! Fell asleep again! Toni , DiNatale , Inzaghi even at 50 will score before these lousy players!

If Vasquez can go back and play for Argentina, why can’t Mancini petition fifa and pick Icardi? I can’t stand oriundi but when we have no one else, it’s time to pick Sallustro, Orsi, Monti and Guaiata!

    Convoca gli oriundi already!

Yeah Portugal is a third rate team now. Great comment. Keep them coming.

Italy's attack totally flopped in this match. They couldn't do anything, despite knowing that they have to win this match, for a chance of topping the group.

I was impressed by Donnarumma, though. He made that fantastic save on Carvalho that could put Italy in danger of getting knocked out of their group.

Overall, Portugal got a deserved draw and topped their group.

Poland has already been relegated. Italy was not in danger of getting knocked out of anything.

How did they look without him against France in the Euro final?

How did they look against Croatia just before the Nations league kicked off?

How did they look against Italy in the first leg?

How did they look against Poland away?

How did they look in their last friendly against Scotland?

Actually, f^$k all that, none of that matters. What really counts is how did they look in a game in which getting a draw and sitting back was always the plan. FFS man, you may have to accept that maybe Soccer/Football just isn't your thing.

If they would lose the match, they could have, if Poland would win the last match against Portugal.

It should be Immobile based on club form. But we can see how crap he is for the Azzurri. So who is that someone?

A year since the defeat to Sweden, nothing has changed. The Italian football remains as archaic as it has been for years. I fear only another non-qualification (for euro2020 or WC 2022) will help to wake people up.

Italy were sorely missing Bernardeschi as well. Immobile is a poor substitute. I'm disappointed Mancini didn't go with Berardi and play a false 9 again.

Poland is ! and Portugal was not exactly at full strength or going full bore, Italy was the one that needed the win at home.

I think right now we have to stick with the false 9. Unless Belotti can wake up, we need to give Cutrone/Kean more time. I will freely admit that there is no someone. But I rather just have three creative wingers/SS switching positions than ever see Immobile in a Italian jersey again. Enough is enough.

But if Messi doesn't get along with him, sooner or later and Icardi will be a dog without a home.

There's no one in sight right now.

Too many similar talents. You can swap Belotti and Immobile and get the same results.

I still feel we are better than them.

But yeah gap isn't as big as some would like to think.

Hopefully Mancini has seen enough from him.

Agreed about Belotti. Strange he was left home.

Again, so how come Franco Vasquez went back to Argentina at 29 years of age after he played and has two caps for Italy?

Immobile must be loved in the dressing room or something. Ever since the players snubbed Rossi so Immobile could get the final spot in the 2014 team, he's done nothing but disappoint. And just when i though Mancini had finally moved on (previous 2 games), he reappears :ROFLMAO: why Mancio, why.
