Listed as an American-born '02 with Morelia's U15s: http://www.ligamx.net/cancha/jugador/123299/eyJpZENsdWIiOiA4MX0=/sagir-david-arce-chavez There's an action photo of him from earlier this month here (top row right): http://imago7.com.mx/fotos/16297-fu...rnada-9/34391-j9sub15-chivas-3-0-morelia.html
He impressively made nine U17 appearances in 2017-2018 despite his U15 registration. Now he's registered with the U17s. Here's a little more information on him (rough translation): http://omnifut.com.mx/futbolista/sagir-arce/ The striker of Monarcas de Morelia is one of the young promises of Mexican football, is a born goal scorer with an exquisite technique that makes it easy for all of his teammates to find him on the field.
Out of nowhere, he gets a US U17 callup. I'd like to think BigSoccer may have brought him to the USSF's attention. https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...international-training-camp-costa-rica-mexico FORWARDS (7): Sagir David Arce (Monarcas Moreila; Chihuahua, Mexico), Tyler Freeman (Sporting Kansas City; Shawnee, Kan.), Andres Jasson (New York City FC; Greenwich, Conn.), Diego Lopez (Atlanta United FC; Chino, Calif.), Alfonso Ocampo Chavez (Seattle Sounders FC; Fresno, Calif.), Benjamin Redzic (FC Dallas; Carrollton, Texas), Ray Serrano (Seattle Sounders FC; Graham, Wash.) @TheFalseNine "Sagir David Arce at Monarcas Morelia"
Accepted another callup to US U17s, for a tournament in Mexico City against Mexico no less. Considering Mexico's squad includes another Mexican-American attacker who appears mildly less productive, Arce may have been wanted by Mexico but appears to have chosen the US.
You've made it when you get the Scuffed shoutout: Here's a goal from Sagir Arce, the U.S. U17 striker who plays for the Morelia U17s in Mexico. He got a hat trick in a loss to Pachuca earlier this month and this was the third goal. GIF quality's not great but you get the idea. Nice rip from 25 yards. pic.twitter.com/mNjC7A5HZL— scuffed (@scuffedpod) September 29, 2018
Scored a "left footer that shook the nets" for Morelia. He's up to 7 goals on the season, and that's in only about 600 minutes presumably because he's been away with US youth teams often. Has to be one of the best goal/minute ratios (let alone goal tallies) in U17 Liga MX. 1058437822728888320 is not a valid tweet id
Scores yet again. "Powerful shot from the edge of the box." 1061364529999896576 is not a valid tweet id
Hat trick today. Now up to 10 goals in the U17 Liga MX Apertura, and that's in just over 700 minutes. Arguably the best player in U17 Liga MX right now. 1066054074989195266 is not a valid tweet id
A few weeks ago he scored his first goal of the Clausura, against Atlas. I can't find video for it. Not a particularly high bar, but at the moment, Arce might be the top USYNT prospect based in Mexico. Hard to argue against his goals total. He and Monterrey winger Jacobo Reyes might be #1 and #2 in whichever order. León left back Edwin Lara would be #3. América left back Ralph Orquin is #4, in my possibly ill-informed opinion. Xolos attacking mid Emmanuel Haro, who recently flipped from El Tri and was in the apparent first-choice US U18 lineup at their recent camp, might be #5. Then after that, some fringe names like Atlas right back Michael Barragan and Pachuca mid Edwin Villarreal (though I've seen no official confirmation of the latter).

He bagged four goals in one match. Clearly one of the very best Liga MX U17 players. 1101634761607520256 is not a valid tweet id
Here are 3 of the goals by Arce against Club America. They didn't post video of the first one. 1101557827733196800 is not a valid tweet id 1101564950097682432 is not a valid tweet id 1101573187089895424 is not a valid tweet id
