He started and scored for Cimarrones in league play last night, a 1-0 win over Celaya.

@bungadiri Jonathan Suarez at Cimarrones de Sonora (on loan from Queretaro)

Dumb question, perhaps, but an honest one: Is "Spaghetti" a Mexican soccer euphemism, some other Mexican-type nickname, or just his nickname? (Or something else, I guess?) You could have a worse BigSoccer screen name than "Spaghetti Suarez."

Suarez has scored two goals so far in friendlies for Queretaro's first team, against Morelia and Celaya. Interesting to see if he'll remain with them at the start of their Apertura campaign.

@TheFalseNine "Jonathan Suarez at Querétaro". He should also be in the main forum, as he's made his professional debut: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Suárez_Cortés

Started in the season opener for the U20s. He's registered with the first team, though, which means they probably seem him as on the fringe. I'd guess he'll get Copa MX playing time.

During the Clausura he made 12 starts in the Ascenso MX for Cimarrones de Sonora scoring a goal. He also made 3 appearances (2 starts) with them in the Copa MX.

Came on in Copa MX for Queretaro today. I believe that's his debut for Queretaro.

Perhaps a Liga MX debut is coming up.

    Pretty cool -- congrats, Jonathan!

It's a long way from Dock Sud.

I now suddenly became much more interested in watching Los Gallos. Dude is playing himself on to a spot on the Olympic team.

Hopefully Rubio can get some playing time in Liga MX

Found vid of the game he was actually involved in the last two goals. The chip he almost scored on hit the cross bar and landed in front of another Queretaro player to finish.

On in the 61st minute of a 0-2 loss. Score was 0-1 when he came on.

He's now come off the bench in 4 league games and this was his longest stint.

He's also played in two Copa MX games this season, both off the bench, for Queretaro, which has advanced to the quarterfinals.

Suarez is not really a speedy or flashy player but he has good ball control, vision and creates a lot of chances for his team. Also, he did well defensively and won the ball back for his team a couple of times.
