Almost 70 pages for him. It’s really more an experiment on BS YA psychology at this point. I wish him all the best- really hope he makes it. He’s chosen a hard road- I’d like to see that boldness rewarded.
He went down a road in Spain where barriers needed to be broken for the American player. The education into the thinking of Spanish Development and their extremely deep system of leagues, rules, and traditions has been an extremely educational and enjoyable learning experience. Here's to the success of the young Jack Imperito as well!
Giggsy - recently saw a picture on Jack's social media of him and Masango Akale both in submarine yellow after a game. Any insight into this? Was Masango training or trialing in an effort to follow his brother?
Mukwelle will start on the bench today as Villarreal B face off with Hercules in Segunda B Group 3. This is the 2nd match of the season for both teams
Starts on the bench today as Villarreal B travel to Castellon in Spain's Segunda B (Group 3) Villarreal with an early goal (4th min) lead 0 - 1 after 10 min
An interesting note: This was apparently considered a good result. One of my twitter friends who bleeds yellow said that Castellon is the nastiest stadium in the Segunda B (Honor a los nuestros por dar la cara en el estadio más asqueroso de la 2b). I took this to mean nasty players and nasty fans.
I know that Masango has consistently trained at Villarreal when he has visited but that is the extent of my knowledge of the situation.
Highlights here and yes, overall this is a higher level of play than MLS. You can see Mukwelle highlights starting at about the 12th minute mark of the video. #11 Samu Chukweze remember the name...
He has to do more with his minutes. I saw maybe two or three decent sequences then a lot of walking and twice he dribbled into traffic and got dispossessed. I can see what my friend meant by asqueroso (nasty). edit: For those who didn't read my earlier post, she was referring to the stadium, not Akale.
What an experience to play there, and I would love to catch a game there sometime. 21 years old, working his way up the ladder, he and Shaq are forging a new road for US players. Even if they don't become stars how can you not respect the work they've put in and experiences they've collected (Shaq will always be able to say he played in La Liga, against Messi at the Camp Nou).
The Spanish setup has done wonders for Shaq technically, he transformed himself from being a athletic prodigy in his youth to an inteligent soccer player.
Starts on the bench today, as #17 Villarreal B host #8 Alcoyano in Spain's Segunda B (Group 3) match Just the 4th league match of the young season
FT Villareal CF B 2 - 0 CD Alcoyano. Akale DNP. Full match is at https://tv.villarrealcf.es/live/ (I think it rich that I can watch full Segunda B matches in beautiful HD but still haven't been able to watch either of our two recent friendlies.)

Reports are that Samu Chuckweeze has been moved up to the first team on a full-time basis. 1.) He's an absolute stud and will eventually be a known world talent. 2.) Mukwelle was directly competing with him for PT
Thanks for sharing all the Intel. This kid reminds me of Dembele Dortmund/Bracelona. Incredible potential but not quite realized. It is great that Mukwelle was training with a player like this and is now out of his way to get into the team.
