Yes, it is our A-team minus Pulisic, but it's a very young and inexperienced A-team, and in real competition we'd see one or two more vets. Of course, it's a full European season before we play a competitive match, and by then, a lot of these inexperienced guys will be quite a bit more experienced.
We can only go up from here, and truth be told, we've NEVER looked good against Brazil. Except for that Confeds first half, that is.
I listed our "good" Brazil matches in "my time": the 1994 World Cup, the 1998 Gold Cup (the 1-0 win with Keller's 237 saves), some random 2002 cycle friendly when Mathis had a 2002 cycle Mathis game, and the Confeds Cup first half.
He needed to up his competition level and FC Dallas screwed him. He might be able to recover if he gets overseas.
Total respect lost for Holden. Still need Bradley for tough locations in qualifying? Really Stu? Carefully did not include Trinidad in his list of tough places. Piss off Stu!
Holden wants to bring back Guzan, Bradley, and Altidore.....shut TF up already.... I liked him as a player....but he's a p**sssyyy as a commentator.
Disagree. Brooks, Miazga, Adams, and McKennie, plus Weah in his little time. They've been encouraging.
It's just the continued failure of the leadership to lead is trying everyone's patience. If USSF's leadership had any shame, they would resign.
If I had my way, I'd probably bring back Jozy for the Gold Cup if he's in reasonably good form. Probably not Bradley or Guzan, though.
