What makes you think that? All the fans, mostly, are American. North American, Central American and South American.
Yoo Yedlin has me dying over here, making fun of Neymar and his dives. "Did you watch the World Cup???" 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/34P7kKDVSH— Roger Gonzalez (@RGonzalezCBS) September 8, 2018
Do we still give time to players in meaningless friendlies to build up work permit resume? We used to do so regularly and Trapp and a few others could benefit.
My l hot take for the game: In 2014 Julian Green looked very young, very teenager-y, and at times very nervous. In 2018 Julian Green looks very old, very balding, very mid-30's, and still sort of nervous.
Williams isn't any good. That experiment has happened before. Delgado is not a holding mid. Did you watch the U-20 World Cup? Canouse is the same size and athleticism profile as Trapp. Trapp is far from our biggest problem. He's actually one of the better players in this team right now.
In 2022 we should only have these games in heartland America or in the North. If we played Mexico it would be an away game Edit *2026*
A point I remember trying to explain to a bunch of typically myopic England fans this summer, when a team full of stars from Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Atletico, Inter, etc. beating a bunch of guys from Spurs and Huddersfield and the dregs of Man City/Chelsea, etc. was NOT an upset in any realistic sense of the word. For those who don't realize, I'm Croatian-American, btw.
You aren't wrong, but at least the guy is showing up and giving his all. He needs to show more offensively for club and country, otherwise he's not a #8. I think he's going to eventually be a #6, but he doesn't yet have the discipline for the position.
One point that's important, from a tactical standpoint, is that we really struggle to use the whole field. Very narrow in the central midfield area and too much tunnel vision.
