The Germany victory must be an incredible confidence boost. Previously maligned players like KYG and JHS can play with clear heads.
This is such a Korean post lol Remember when we were criticizing stielke's suits? Look the part and Koreans will give brownie points. Remember when we beat #13 Colombia with stielke? How does that happen with a godawful manager like stielke?
Have we ever played Colombia against Stielike? If you're talking about the 2-1 friendly win, that took place under STY's helm (plus Grande and co. lol). BTW, about SHM kicking the grass and Stielike consoling him: I honestly don't see Stielike doing anything wrong here (in that particular moment).
UliShit and his useless sidekick were some of the worst dressed foreigners that I've ever seen come through the airport doors in recent times. Until the KFA tailored a proper suit for him, he was dressed like he was stuck in the 90s. While sartorial sense does not equate to managerial nous, what else should we have expected from two people who dressed that backwards??? Like his clothes, UliShit's tactics, training methods, footballing philosophy and management skills were a few generations behind.
Bento did it against a jetlagged and disinterested CR side but can he do it on a hot arid day in Kuwait for WCQ. My standards have fallen off and I just want Korea to maintain their consecutive WC qualifications through 2022.
What's with the negativity, seriously. No one's saying that Bento's the second coming of Hiddink or the next special one. It's just quite apparent that the energy Bento and co bring to the team is very different from that of Stilike (or however that's spelt) and STY. Not only that, tactically speaking, it seems Bento has started off on the right foot. We can discredit CR and whatever, but we also aren't considering that this is the first friendly under a new manager under limited practice time, yet we looked very fluid and organised for the majority of the match. Something that couldn't be achieved by either Stilake or STY against AFC minnows after months of preparation.
I obviously knew it was STY who got the W against COL [emoji851] [emoji2958]. My point is made though. Put it into perspective- Shin Trick-yong got a solid win against Colombia in Korea and then the same team devolved to a much lower quality over the following months. Bento got a solid win against Costa Rica in Korea.
Yea. I get you. At the same time, I don't think anyone has expressed their crazy expectations at all, so it sort of seems like you're shadowboxing by yourself, if you get what I mean .
I wanted to post this in the Bento thread. Here's a decent analysis of his tactics. My apologies if it's a repost.
Nobody is having any expectation after this. We're just saying this was a good game and our team has done well. He's just shadowboxing at this point. Also sure Shin Taeyong had one W over Colombia but he was shit in his previous games as well as being a shit manager for U23 and U20. So just one win couldn't sway us. That's different from Paulo Bento as he is 0-0 before we have beaten CR.
Only the fourth ref. thus we usually have a fourth ref who is Korean for friendlies in Korea. today it was chinese trio and korean fourth ref.
When you have a history like the one the Korean team has, I cannot blame his negativity/skepticism. I mean, Korea has been catfished so many goddamn times... the negativity is out of habit at this point All things considered, I hope Bento keeps up the professionalism and obviously hope he succeeds.
