I pulled up their wikipedia page and looked over their recent call-ups. 1 of their goalkeepers is Norwegian born to an Irish dad and plays for a Norwegian club.

So many defenders at PL or Championship clubs.

Hmmmmmm, Kortrijk pimping BHI for the USMNT. I like it. Good on them! Maybe they know something we don’t. Maybe BHI is on the verge of a call up. There’s no doubt he’s been playing well for 12-18 months and has seamlessly transitioned to a better league in the Jupiler League.

Hines-Ike has an Instagram in which he refers to himself as an "American in Belgium" with no reference to Ireland. This is a guy who was born and raised in the US, developed his soccer until age 22 entirely in the US including four years of good old American college soccer, and has accepted callups to US youth teams. Now Kortrijk is giving shoutouts on social media to the USMNT on his behalf. I don't buy the idea that he prefers to represent Ireland over the US. Ireland is only his fallback if the USSF doesn't contact him.

Match ends 3-3. Brendan credited with the assist on the second goal at 70'.

I actually believe that he had two assists.

    Here's one:

    Here's possibly the other:

SofaScore says he got two assists so I will trust them here.

Chivas Denver, as far as I know, doesn’t have any “real” connection to Chivas Guadalajara other than one of the former directors being a youth product and former independent scout of Chivas. That’s what I’ve been told anyway. They are however a not-for-profit club that rely on sponsorship and have a pretty damn good rep in Denver for giving kids a chance that might not have the money to play competitively. Colorado Rush, Colorado Storm, Colorado Rapids Youth, Real Colorado may get the headlines but Chivas continues to produce collegiate level players. It’s a pretty inclusive club from what I know. It’s doesn’t follow the Chivas model - if you will. IIRC, others like Roger Espinoza, Collen Warner, Jeb Brovsky, and a handful of current USL players who’s names are escaping me all played at one time for Chivas Denver. They have teams form youth to adult. My association with them is through my adult club who’s had many battles on the pitch against Chivas. Many of those battles Chivas has won. Since I’ve moved on to the slower division of O-30’s I don’t get to play them which is a bummer. They are a class club that is run well to bottom that should get more recognition for what they have done and continue to do. But....they also like flying under the radar a bit.

    *edit*

As soon as I posted....Chivas Denver is listed amongst the official “Chivas Academies” so there an association of sorts.

He's Irish. Scratch any Mick hard enough and you'll find a potato! :D

    Edit:
Maybe the Ike part of the family provides the posh:p

you always make me chuckle

I wonder if I should adopt the double-barrel. I use it to find a nice upstanding lady to pretty up my po'boy background.
