I don't disagree really, he does have a ways to go in his club career, although he has already shown flashes of his abilities in Serie A. He's shown me enough to believe that he'll have a fine career at one of the top leagues, even after I was beginning to doubt him at one point. His appearance on Radio Star really won me over. He seemed genuine, clever, and perceptive. It was insightful to hear more about what it's like being one of the younger hoobaes on the national team. He's also pretty funny to boot. I also agree that LSW taking the ball from SHM was ground breaking. I loved hearing LSW talk about the seniority culture being detrimental to the team sometimes while on the show, but I'm sure all of us already knew this. Just as SHM had to do to his sunbaes in the past, LSW went with his gut and decided to stake his claim in the outcome of his own damn fate. Not only was it a historic goal, I hope it sets a new precedent.

Son's comment on Lee Seung-woo's goal. Son Heung-min "When I dribbled past the [Japanese]defenders, Seung-woo yelled ["Get out! Get out!"], so I quickly got out of the way. Seung-woo was in a much better shooting position, so thanks to him I was able to record an assist." Man, I love his tough attitude, it reminds me of Kim Nam-il, Lee Eul-yong, Yoo Sang-chul. He has the right mindset, and his cockiness is what drives it even further, it takes a lot of balls to be stepping up big like that, especially in front of your senior(s).
He may be the smallest player in the squad, but he has the biggest heart and strongest attitude out there. Korea needs more like him in the future.
Happy for HUJ. Put aside this debate abt his long-term prospects on the senior NT, happy that he was able to redeem himself. These guys all read social media just like we do and I'm sure he had a rough few days seeing everyone and their mothers shit all over his selection (I believe I participated as well). Good on him to step up and show his ability -- always good to see redemption stories like this.
The opportunism of LSW is Italian in nature. SHM had lost full control of the ball- but Veronese's off the ball movement is insane. He was where he needed to be.
Words from the captain Miyoshi Koji after the 2-1 defeat to Korea at the finals of the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games. Miyoshi Koji "I felt that this was a difference in the level of strength between us(Japan) and Korea, it has nothing to with age. I also felt that the level of the Korean players including Son Heung-min and Hwang Hee-chan were higher [than us]."
Had no idea both Son Heung-min and Lee Seung-woo already served. South Korean soldier Son Heung-min doppelganger. North Korean soldier Lee Seung-woo doppelganger.
