We tend to underestimate our team whilst Southeast Asian fans overestimate themselves. Dunning-Kruger effect much?

CHW stated that the reason he went to ground near the end of the match was to control the game tempo. He's fine and there are no concerns regarding the next match.

So who didnt get any playing time yet? Players need to play at least 1 min to get exemption. I wish we score many goals early so we can sub these players in to give them exemption like we did back in Olympics.

Japan scores! 1-0 leading now at 78'.

Everyone was saying UAE will be one of the strongest teams in the tournament, but they have been shit.

Wondering how SHM will play in 4-4-2 with HUJ.

    SHM-HUJ
    LSW-HIB-LJH-HHC
    KJY-KMJ-JYM-KMH
    JHW

It seems like KHB likes to make a few surprising changes for each game (ex: SHM playing centrally vs Vietnam). Wondering if he will change things arnd to surprise Japan.

I hope JYH will return for Haniljeon and replace LJH. But besides that, best possible formation you posted.

Couldn’t ask for an easier final. Easiest opponent we faced in the knockout stages. Their striker is a joke, and their team is basically their U21 A/B team.

Now Son can focus on building on his impressive career at Tottenham and Hwang Eui-Jo deserves a nice big fat paycheck in ME or China.

But whatever happens, keep Kim Hak-Bum out of the NT setup.

Tbh, I think apart from us, some SE Asian teams and Uzbekistan, other teams had big problems in convincing their parent teams to release their players.

I’m already seeing comments like Kim Hak-Bum, the ‘tactical genius’, after the Vietnam game. Ffs, our team should be steamrollering most teams in the tourney whatever formation we play. The reason we won wasn’t that Son played in the middle. The Vietnamese team was way too overhyped and were pretty shit as you can see today. Wherever Son played, they would have been faked.

Agreed, but we need to know that KHB didnt even have any chance to play these players together bf the tournament started. I still wanna give him credit for building the team throughout the tournament.

I fewl like there's really nothing to learn about our players or manager here considering the level of this championship. Actually, the fact that we aren't streamrolling is pretty telling.

That’s not even an excuse. In terms of preparations, our team had better preparations than most teams which were put together in the last minute.

KHB was the second manager to make the life of his own team harder by trying to use a stupid 3 back system in a tournament, only to give it up soon. With this team's quality, there's not much to do wrong tactically. So... No one is saying he's a tactical genius lol.

Edit: However, unlike STY he admitted his mistakes and since the KO phase he's been okay tactically.

Hwang does not go to China or ME after this. He's going to Europe if anything. Korea lacked this type of striker past couple of years. Finally found our #9

Three reasons why we will win the gold:
    1) Military exemption (so-called 면제로이드 will definitely motivate our boys)
    2) Beating Japan itself (never gets old)
    3) Revenge for KWNT (That was definitely a tough loss)

Lost count on how many times Maeda missed a sitter, he's a combination of Cho 0-chul, Lee Yong-jae, Kim Shin-wook. Dude is just shit.
