Just wanted to say that Machida has scored at least 2 goals in the last 5 matches. One of the best teams to watch in J2 so far
Only after 13 rounds Shunta Nakamura made a bench appearance. Disappointing. Hope he will have some chances next games.
geez just had a quick look at the table. kyoto in real danger of dropping down. not surprising i guess given their incompetence in recruitment year after year but sad. on the positive the manager giving 2000 guys (wakahara, koizuki, fukuoka) decent playing time.
Kyoto Sanga is leading 0-1 at Yamaguchi during HT. Third win in a row (2 away wins - 1 home win), if results stay the same Kyoto is moving out of the relegation zone.
The Uruguayan was with them since the start of the season, but getting some players in during the summer helped to improve the team; Shoji, Juninho, Kanakubo and Kaio all contributed to improve the team since the league resumed after the WC break. Not to forget this kid, Tomoya Wakahara, who became a starter after the WC break, and despite being just 19 years-old he seems more dependable than Shimizu in the goalkeeping position. So getting 4 new players, and bringing a more dependable goalkeeper as a regular is the reason of Kyoto's improvement. Kyoto changed almost half of their starting line-up, just like Nagoya Grampus, and both teams seem to be heading towards safety.
Not so sure about the GK since he costed a game against Mito but, yes I guess the SA guy benefitted from the new signs
very brace to play this guy in a relegation battle, but he’s overall been pretty solid. dark horse for olympics gk.
Ryotaro Ito's goal for Mito vs Kyoto was illusive. Wakahara has conceded less goals per match than Shimizu, who was the stater almost in every game until the summer (WC) break. So it says something about Wakahara! Don't forget that he is 19, and he is given a very hard and daunting task, to start for a team deep in the relegation zone, this says a lot about his character.
Yes but let's be honest conceding goals isn't really just about the keeper... Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that he's starting. There are very few young GKs playing as regulars in J1-J2 so despite making mistakes I hope he can continue, it's part of the learning process.
After Kushibiki initially chosen as a regular in Rio, what could possibly go worst than that in 2020?
