    Dhaka: To commemorate and respect the memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the international Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2018 will take place from October 1 to 12 at Dhaka’s Bangabandhu National Stadium and Sylhet District Stadium.

    The group stage matches of the competition will take place at Sylhet while the semis and final matches will take place in Dhaka. In total, 6 countries including Bangladesh will compete in this prestigious international tournament.

    Till now, Nepal, Philippines and Philistine have agreed to send their national teams in the tournament, said BFF President Kazi Salahuddin.

    Uzbekistan will organize four friendly matches against Asian teams with a contribution of FIFA and AFC Presidents in September and October, reports Uzbekistan Football Association on Monday.

    Newly appointed Hector Cuper will make a debut in Central Asians’ side in international friendly against Syria at the National Stadium on September 6.

    On September 11, the White Wolves could struggle with Asia’s top national team Iran before they will face North Korea on October 13.

    Next, Uzbekistan will welcome World Cup 2022 hosts, Qatar to the National Stadium for a friendly match on October 16
