i still think Guardiola has turned him into a tika taka players

he doesn't dribble as much, and just passed the ball sideways or behind

He’s mainly been playing out wide but is being groomed to be David Silvas long term replacement in the middle of the park. He’s a long term investment but has still provided a good amount of goals and assists compared to how many minutes he’s played

Bernardo Silva has been great lately. I watch alot of premier league games; he will play a big role at the World Cup in Russia.

He has got plenty of competition but I expect him to improve from last year. With all the quality players he Will be on the bench some of the time, not sure how much, depends on Bernardo and how the other players perform.

Bernardo will get more time but it's still DeBruyne and Silvas midfield.

Pep has said numerous times that he sees Bernardo as the successor the David Silva, expect to see him get a lot more game time centrally this season

He was quality in the community shield at the weekend

David Silva is 32 and is starting to have issues finishing games off the way he started them.

Bernardo should get more playing time than last season, it will increase more and more as the season(s) go by.

I'm happy he had such a good pre-season and another good 90 minutes with a goal but I'll admit once again that it hurts that he only showed this kind of form for 30 min in the WC. If only him and Guedes had played anywhere near their level... Dammit.

He had a bad WC, no question, but so did so many of our players but I would be surprised if he does not drastically improve in the Euro 2020 (we should make it), especially if he plays in the middle. Remember his first games for the seleção when people were saying he was just hype, guess where he was playing, out on the wing, then Santos gave him a free role and he started to shine, get to the WC, out on the wing, frankly terrible, in the middle in the last game in the WC and he shines. Seriously, this is so obvious yet people still ask him to Play like he is Quaresma, in the seleção there is no competition like there is in City, to even think of playing him on the wing, added to that the multitude of wingers that Portugal has.

He needs to be played centrally for Portugal, unfortunately he struggled under Santos’ style so hopefully FS will see this and play him where he should be

He’s been quality and fans in the premier league have already stated how he’s extremely underrated

You mean, had Bernardo and Guedes played anywhere near their natural positions

Most of the time, tactics that awful result in a sacking especially if the manager is one of the highest paid national team managers like Santos is.

De Bruyne could be out for 3 months, not that I wish him any injuries but if he is out it does help Bernardos chances of playing in the centre and or getting more game time.
