I guess I'm saying for the most part the games have been OK to good. No 0-0 ties. or if there was one it was during the World Cup and I didn't notice. We lost two wins I think to that factor too.
In the Q&A I think Padraig said Marvell Wynne will be at the game. I don't know if there's any on field ceremony. It came up when someone asked about a Rapids alumni group.
Yeah, that question made no sense. He said that we're one of the few non-expansion teams without an ex-players association but if other long-term MLS teams have them I've never heard about it. (Many teams in Europe do, I contacted a couple while trying to find a contact email for Junior Agogo)
I have to say that the Rapids have generally played hard regardless of the situation. Not always, smart, but hard. In recent matches has, in particular been smart and direct. If they come out in a 4-4-2 with Price at the base they'll most likely be okay in this match. And of course there is the Acosta factor - he's played with heart and passion in the two times he's been in burgundy.
From our favorite cat lover to yours, happy #InternationalCatDay from @marvwynne22! pic.twitter.com/S1J0vyZWdn— San Jose Earthquakes (@SJEarthquakes) August 8, 2018
This is a must-lose game if the Rapids want to have any chance to snag the Wooden Spoon. Wynne's cat-loving nature and presence can't be coincidental. Welcome the Frisbee-ignoring cats for halftime . . .
Frisbee cats! That would be the best. Sad owners chasing their own throws while cats stare in contempt.
And occasionally, attempt to trip their people (cats don't have owners, just people to do things for them).
Come out to the @C38sg tailgate tonight at 5:30 and meet @colebassett19, the newest (and youngest) #Rapids96 homegrown pic.twitter.com/UglDzjHuvd— Ryan Madden (@Ry_Madden) August 11, 2018
Bassett and Gashi in the 18. Who we're bringing out against San Jose. (Look at @colebassett19 already making the 18).📝 https://t.co/GkGUPuoEVM pic.twitter.com/OYxeNQmdli— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) August 12, 2018
Glad to see Hairston get the start at RB. Glad to see Wilson nowhere near the starting 11. Boateng actually looked serviceable last week playing his natural position (imagine that). Will be interesting to see what he does with the start. This looks almost identical to last weeks 2nd half lineup against LA. Intrigued to see how this plays out....
Smith is puzzling. That was a great goal. Other times he snoozes on defense. I really don't know what to think of him from game to game. Tonight I like him, though.
That's who he is. A center back who is an attacking threat but is not a consistent defender. A man with very visible pluses and minuses.
Watching with the sound off - the video on Altitude is fine but the audio is messed up. What's up with Enzo?
