Well, that's quite obviously a question for the Q&A on Thursday. It would be interesting to see how they dodge this one.

You're assuming there's no action taken before Thursday. With the MLS window closing Wednesday, England Thursday, and most other leagues closing sometime this month if Boli is going to move, this week would be a prime week for it to happen/

Areas in the south of France can have palm trees and other temperate/tropical foliage, and of course coastline.

Yep. Aware of that... which is why I tossed in the possibility of #2 (paperwork in France).

But given how quiet the RFO has been on this, I'd still guess it's scenario #1 (Hudson's running him out and prefers the McBeans of the world).

I thought the whole country had the Eiffel tower in the background.

Half. The other half has the Arc de Triomphe.

Is that the Arc in the Burgundy vineyards?

Arc de Triomphe in the Burgundy vineyards? No. You must be thinking of the Arc de Défaite.

    The Arc of Defeat.

Edit: I think there might be a replica Arc de Défaite northeast of Denver.

My wife's personal favorite from that stage every year is the Luxor Obelisk. We're going to eventually make it to PAris and before we see the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe we're going to have to go see the obelisk.

A great walk is from the Louvre to the Arc and that will take you right through the Place de la Concorde with the Obelisk and fantastic fountains etc.etc. etc. You won't get to see the Obelisk as well as those (drone?) shots in the TdF coverage but it will be in person. In some defense of the coverage of said tour and the many shots of the Tour Eiffel (one French word -- two handy usages) it will surprise you by lurking in the background of many of your pictures that you take of something else. Same to some degree for the Tour Montparnasse -- not particularly pleasant to look at (an obelisk more like the one at the start of 2001: A Space Odyssey) but fantastic to see Paris including Tour Eiffel from -- some say tongue in cheek that it is the very best view of Paris because from it you can't see it. :>)
That walk along the Champs-Elysees will of course look very familiar to cycling fans and you will pass right through where the awards podium is set next to Le Petit Palais and Grand Palais. And of course stop at 27 Avenue des Champs-Elysees for a football fix -- Boutique Officielle du PSG, There are actually three arches on that axis; the smaller Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel (still big) near the Louvre, and at the other end the massive one at La Defense that does show on some TdF footage. I could go on (and on) but will stop by saying plan to stay as many days as you can possibly fit in -- you won't regret it.

Nicholson was a monster in the final 3rd. But getting the "ball rolling" on attack, Castillo and Acosta showed quite a bit.

One aspect of this match which caught my attention was the way in which the Rapids supported each other in terms of being in proximity to receive passes and win the ball back if a teammate was dispossessed. It was the first time in a very long time that they have done this in a match, a whole match.

Additionally, the Rapids generally played the ball out of the back. Almost no long balls by the side Saturday night. That was a big change from not just this season, but last as well.

Yeah, I really think we will see more/ he would do better with Nicholson if they ever paired him with a real forward or maybe put him at tip of the diamond.

Welcome, and I suppose next you'll suggest something else crazy like a back line of four guys?

Thanks for the welcome! I’m one of those “long time listeners, first time callers”. I’ve grown up around the Rapids and can remember going to games as far back as age 6 in ‘98 with my grandma. I’ve been in Arizona since ‘07, so before MLS Live / ESPN+ it was quite tough to follow this team, but hey, Rapids til I die!

Anyone else wanna see a back four of
    Castillo - Sjoberg - Ford - Hairston?

How about: Palguta, da Fonte, Wilson, Colvey with St Ledger as a back up?
