Do you know how old Roben & Ribery are? 34 & 35. Bayern is in the hunt for replacements. The other two are 23 & 22. Maybe Bayern wants someone to drive them, or maybe Bayern are not thrilled with one or the other. Third in that rotation sounds great to me. Davies can play either wing but left seems to be his best. Two openings and a huge opportunity. Subbed in late a few times so they can see what he brings is the way I see them deciding if he needs B2 time.
Yeah I follow the Bundesliga quite a bit. I think Pep Guardiola's plan was to phase out Ribery and Robben by replacing them with Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman, but when Pep left, Ribery and Robben became starters again. Costa transferred out, and I think Coman wants to transfer out too. Gnabry was loaned out this past year, but he's supposedly being counted on for a big role this year. A lot of Bayern's fanbase seems to be highly skeptical of their new coach Niko Kovac, with a lot of old Bayern favorites rumored to be leaving. It would be quite a flattering move for Davies and great experience, but I doubt he'd see playing time anytime soon. With that being said, even if he spends an entire season on the bench or in the reserves or gets loaned out, he might still develop more than with the Whitecaps.
Also a side note on Davies--I doubt he would be allowed to play in the Bundesliga until he's 18. Some rule that the BuLi has where youngsters from abroad need to have been part of the club's academy for a certain number of years to be allowed to play in the BuLi before turning 18. American Josh Sargent joined Werder Bremen in January but wasn't allowed to play until he turned 18, so he'll be making his debut this season. Rule doesn't apply to players with EU passports though (I believe that's how Christian Pulisic got around it).

I can't help but think that Osorio is the next to go. Unless TFC make him a DP he's gone. He has been the highest performing and most consistent player for them all season. Contract is finished after this season.

Well this is a sad day. None of the 3 Canadian MLS teams make the playoffs. Sigh. That will be a huge drop in interest. Here's hoping next year all 3 find their mojo and make the post season.
