2018/21 Ryota Morioka @ R.S.C. Anderlecht (BEL)

Insane, even if he can't run he scored and assisted like hell. Best player of the jupiler League last season even at anderlecht. No mater how bad you perform when you take scorer points like this.

That's some stupid coach move who doesn't see the team as a whole he sees only his coaching style and want to be successful with it, he doesn't want to get some steps back from it. Sad for Morioka 30 scorer points in 40 games aren't enough. You can't do more

 

I was in the stadium at the last home game last season. Unfortunately he was literally booed of the pitch when he was substituted after yet another poor performance.

True his stats are ok but there are players with similar/better stats each season in the JPL who I wouldn’t want to see at Anderlecht or JNT for that matter.

Especially the number of times Morioka loses possession when put under pressure is really worrying : missing easy passes, getting pushed away way too easily, making wrong decisions,... He really struggled in the play-offs against the stronger opponents.

In my opinion, no JNT material.

 

Agree, and seriously I don't understand how people wanted him to be in the WC roster?

Different messages in the media :
- physical condition isn’t good : which would be weird since he was around the entire pre-season
- rumors he would be go on loan to Antwerp

But bottomline, he wasn’t on the sheet today, I don’t expect him to play a lot if he would stay at Anderlecht.

 

He was on the bench tonight but did not play, as Anderlecht won 5-2 and are currently topping the league with six goals and +6 goals difference.

With Anderlecht's new signings on fire, and him falling out of favour, I think this is his time to seek a move outside Belgium, maybe the Netherlands, Portugal or a bottom half of the table team in Germany, Italy or France.

 

At least he’s on the sheet again. Read that he’s allowed to stay after all and the coach is counting on him.

Dunno whether this is good news for Morioka or not. Anderlecht haven’t sold any of their expensive players yet, once they do I’m sure they go for another offensive target.

 

Third match in a row without playing time.

 

75th minute, Morioka in. Anderlecht leading 2-0.

Should have had an assist, a few minutes later red card Anderlecht and not much happened anymore. Too bad.

 

Good to see him playing again.

The reason is his wife, cause she doesnt want to live in Turkey.

I find it strange that they handle Morioka like this after only half an year. He was one of Anderlechts best players (at least from scorer points) and it's normal that you need some time to adapt.

Overall Morioka was outstanding with 15 goals and 15 assists in last season. No clue why half Europe isn't after him.

Seems he is busy looking for a new club to join.

 

Yup, it's strange. I could only assume that something weird is going on, such as he had some sort of falling out with the manager.

 

Again no Morioka today.

At least 3 players in front of him in picking order just to make the bench. Doesn’t look good.

 

He had to leave during the summer transfer window, it is clear the coach do not want him.

Other ACM’s have all failed so far, Morioka gets a shot.

 

Was subbed out at 60”. So so performance and should have scored.

 

Didn't know where to post this, but kind of has impact on every Japanese player in Belgium.

A huge bomb went off in Belgian football : fraude & possible match fixing. All top teams and two top referees currently being investigated. About 200 police officers did 57 raids this morning, just to show the magnitude of the case. Also people and teams abroad being investigated.
