I foresee a victory for a team whose colors are black and red. Still pissed about this.

It depends on his game fitness. I don't think he is there yet and based on this past weekend can really add something to a second half where defenders are a half step tired.

If the game is close (or tied) at half time he may come in for the whole second half.

I hope he doesn't have a turf clause.

Hm, turf. Legit chance we repeat the pattern from last game.

Especially with it being a 3 game week.

Do we actually know that Rooney will EVER play on turf? Other semi-retired ex-stars in MLS didn't, right?

I know Henry hated playing on turf fields in MLS, and I'm not sure how often he did (if ever).

Zlatan played a Galaxy game in Portland as a sub, so he's played on turf, but he didn't make the trip to New England.

I wouldn't expect the result to be as spectacular a success as say, a Helsinki Press Conference, but hopefully we'll still have our dignity and self respect on the flight home

Im not sure if Rooney would be ready for starters minutes in any field condition.

I definitely think Rooney can log more minutes in a climate controlled environment. But I agree with other posters that he's not ready for 90 minutes. In the cooler dome he could prolly only go 60min. maybe. Faster game on that awful turf.

I think it will be similar to last game- another 35-40 minutes of Rooney in the 2nd half.

Hopefully Mattocks and Co. can run wild in the 1st half and keep the score tied. Then Rooney comes on in the 2nd half for a snatch and grab or we come back and hold on for a draw.

I wouldn’t start Rooney until I felt he could go 90 in a pinch. It will probably be at least 2-3 more games.

Which by the way, a faster game helps Mattocks.

Anybody know who is/isn't available for ATL? I heard something about Martinez, and lately their attack has been surprisingly toothless whenever he's not a big part of it.

I never even thought of that, I just spent 20+ years watching and kind of picked it up as I went along. The important stuff is obvious, the fluff makes no difference (to me).

The twitter broadcast is not a great solution, since you almost have to hack the stupid thing to cast it to a television. I'm not into watching a match on a phone and don't quite understand why others are. (I could put it on a laptop, but those aren't usually really designed for it either, and there's a reason why I bought a 52" television.) I was just wanting to get a full accounting of what my choices are, I may go with the Spanish broadcast even if English is available via twitter.

Can you watch it in a Chrome Browser and cast it to your TV? I had to watch the USOC game last night on my desktop and airplay it to my appleTV. It was laggy but it worked.

Yeah, I've been able to cast a Chrome tab via laptop, but same, laggy. I think the way the phone app works, once I have managed to cast something from the phone to Chromecast or Roku, it's actually the Chromecast/Roku that's pulling it down from there on out, so that helps with the lag (or that's the impression I get). It's just that when the thing you're casting is a twitter video, you need a third party app and some trial-and-error to get the stream.

And I did find the schedule, game is available via Twitter:

You may be able to use SAP for English. It's also on univision's streaming as well as twitter.

Really? I couldn't find it on my streaming app last time I checked (I would stream Univision most likely on a Roku).
