I love those type of things. You usually read about how certain parts of Europe create great keepers because so many kids played handball, water polo etc.

I agree, and it is such a critical age group, too.

America is different because Irish -English -Germans-French and all Western Europeans are simply considered “white “ and nobody I know goes on about where their great great parents came from . And most people are a mix of things anyway. Whatever . I love English domestic football and I hope you keep on winning .

Pens to decide whether you get to play in a noisy stadium or a relatively quiet one. :")

EDIT: and it will be quiet, well quieter at least. Good Luck/

The ITV commentator mentioned during the Colombia penalty kicks, that Rashford had taken one in an under-20 tournament. Also Pickford was in one as well in a youth Tournament.

Credit to Southgate for building a functional team. I criticized him a lot so credit where it's due. We never looked in trouble today and we can only beat what's in front of us. Such a shame Sterling did not score, I thought he was brilliant, a goal would have shut so many mouths.

Rashford is one that hasn’t played a youth tournament with England so that is wrong. Pickford did win one against Argentina for the U17’s.

Backhanded comment from some Canadian .
Sweden had to come through France , Holland , Italy , Germany ,etc to get that far.

implying they are a nothing team.

Well, that was plain sailing. The first 20 minutes were terrible, but after that England switched in higher gear, and Sweden had no chance. I gave Southgate a lot of stick before, also didn't like the starting XI, but I have to say, he was right. This team is strong, and won easily with Kane having a rare off-day. Also have to say, Henderson was brilliant today, a lot of fans don't rate him, but he has been an asset.

I hope England wins mate. I dont think it will happen , but if it does boy lady you are in for a treat.

I was in Lisbon when Portugal won the euros back in July 2016. There was a fine english lass, told me she was from North London, I had a good time with her that night (and well into the morning, if I may add). She said it was the best night of her life and came to visit me again this summer.

American here so id like to think i have minimal bias. I root for England after the US and am looking for feedback. From what ive seen Stirling looks dangerous because of his speed. However his hasnt actually scored for England in 3yrs. His touch is often not right and he seems uncoordinated and unable to make space to deliver a solid shot. Is there no one else who has speed and can finish? Imho I just see so many wastes chances.

I’m sorry buddy but I don’t care, do you think any other Nations moan about beating us when we have had injuries in the past? No, they don’t care or when Germany had an easy ride to the 2002, World Cup final? No they didn’t care either im sure. All of a sudden because we have had an ‘ easier route ‘ then normal, every other Nation feels they want to give us there pennies worth.
Sod off! Sorry don’t mean to be rude but sod off :)

And I’m sorry, just for the record there’s about as much chance of Scotland reaching the semi’s as me flying solo
