Yes Däbritz’s inconsistent, but has been very good the games I’ve seen her this year.

I’m pretty sure Roord plays high up at the pitch for Bayern with Leupolz and Behringer behind her.

I disagree with Popp, I just think she’s been excellent in her new role within Wolfsburg as a pretty strong box to box midfielder. Scoring goals, assists, defends... Best German player this year imo

Nicole Rolser’s been great, not sure why she doesn’t get a NT chance... about the NT, you should join the discussion in the NT thread ;)) it’s been pretty much just four of us

lol... it seems like your extending the goal posts pretty wide for Roord to gaining more points here. As Magull playing CM/AM within a weaker/less mature attack, still has her scoring double the amount of goals scored by Roord this season.

And we are talking about a Freiburg team with 10 less goals than Bayern this season, where Magull had to score goals for her team to even remain remotely relevant for a potential 2nd place finish too.

The phrase is called "moving the goal posts". Extending would look like making them rise higher into the sky LOL

below would be my choice for top eleven, but it would be really hard to choose based on the few times we've seen them play(especially lower teams like Koln & Bremen

    GK...............................Schmidt

    D........Hendrich......Demann.......Elsig.........Faisst

    MF.....Hansen.......Dallmann.......Magull.......Pajor

    FW...............Huth..............Harder

with Dallmann as MVP.. for any naysayers, she did win over Harder, the combined goal/assist tally
    https://www.soccerdonna.de/de/1-bundesliga/scorer/wettbewerb_BL1.html

one thing that must be said, the disappointing season for pure strikers, as even Harder & Huth were moved at times to mid on their clubs. In comparison last year's two top scorers, Islacker & Miedema, only jobs were just being central forwards

How about Svitkova as a replacement for Wullaert? She has been doing really great in both the WCL and qualifying games of Czech Republic.

don't know who she is or what club she currently is with. Below is a list of all who's leaving or signed to new clubs all ready/ Seems more people are leaving clubs than signing so far. The popular, Caro Simon(leaving Freiburg) has yet to sign but I read is in negotiations with Lyon. While a couple of good Hoffenheim players have signed with clubs, I don't see any teams picking up really big new names so far, which could means that once again the Bundesliga don't want to open up their pocketbooks?

it's official. Caro Simon & Lisa Weiss(Essen's GK & former NT) have both signed with Lyon
    communique-l-ol-informe-des-signatures-de-lisa-weiss-et-carolin-simon-35466_35.jpg

Sarah Puntigan of Freiburg has signed with Montepelier & a sign of relief to her fellow goal keepers, Josephine Henning has just announced her retirement from soccer!

Well Majri probably going to play higher up at the pitch while Caro Simon takes her place as a LB?

LB was probably Lyon's weakest spot as they were starting a 17 year old named Bacha(as chart below indicated) so Simon will have an pretty good chance of taking over/starting herself
    https://us.women.soccerway.com/matc...wolfsburg/olympique-lyonnais-feminin/2692021/

Lyon lost it's last game of the season to PSG in the finals of the French Cup, so hence, the reinforcements. Simon most likely will come over to the US & play in a club tourney featuring Lyon, Man City & our top club, NC Courage. But the tourney itself is doomed to failure since it's played in the summer time in Miami where the heat index can rise over 100(37 celcius?). Then the USNWT has it's own game planned so you know Jill Ellis is going tear up the Courage of its prime players(about 6 US NT's)

True, Lyon even played many matches in the league with 3 CBs (no wingbacks). Probably this is partially due to them being way better than the rest, but it is also because they did not have sufficient wing backs at their disposal (even though Bronze decided to go forward, effectively playing with 2 CBs).

What happened to Houara though? I know she is a RB, but she has played quite some matches as a LB as well.

Well, that 17 yo was incredibly effective, though, and it looked like she totally deserved her inclusion in one of the strongest club in the world (arguably, the strongest one right now).

I am curious to see her at U-20 WWC later in August.

from double checking on Houra; she only played 3 games all season & while recovering from two injuries. Has yet to sign again(signing day for all French clubs are still just a few days away). Due to Lyon constantly favoring signing international superstars(I hear their aiming for Jackie Groenen next) several of their once promising local talent have moved to other clubs( Tarrieu, Lavogez) so this is what Houra might do herself(as it be hard to compete with Bronze for RB)

And top players are leaving the Bundesliga one after one...

Wolfsburg and Bayern will dominate everything next season I’m afraid

Like many knew would happen, as this league still isn't filled with enough professional clubs all willing to match the pay of Euro rivals for the games various international quality talents.
With their poor transfer policy, I see Wolfsburg moving back into another transition cycle that could potentially allow Bayern to legitimately compete for the title this season.

But I agree with anybody who would also feel the coming season a rather underwhelming prospect, should last seasons Bayern, Freiburg, Potsdam, Frankfurt teams, all remain at the same level or below the quality witnessed last season.

I just read she's injured though... becoming a major loss for a young Freiburg team in desperate need of her potential CM qualities within their rebuilding team.
I'm pleased to see Simon's qualities finally recognized by an elite establishment well known for correctly identifying and cultivating talent; but what does this also say about the lack of foresight or planning involved within the top of the German game...?

Watching her at persistent relegation candidates like Leverkusen, various people said she was the best LB in Germany, but she's had to wait until she's 25 to receive senior team recognition, and now finds her self at Lyon having NEVER played a single match in the UCL lol.

I just do not get Wolfsburg at all lol... it’s obvious that they need better fullbacks and a proper CB to partner Fischer (maybe that’s Doorsoun), but Lerch still believes that he can beat Lyon with Blässe and Maritz playing RB sand LB??

I’d love Bayern to beat Wolfsburg as their current squad looks rather fierce at the moment, but then Tom Wörle is the problem, right?? @hotjam2

I read ur post in the US thread, does Mandy Islacker really top the salary list of German players...? o_O
