I honestly thought that if you guys had scored in the first 20 minutes, it would have been very different. The psychological factor cannot be understated in knockout games, and Mexico's players were running riot. Note how Vela was giving Fagner headache after headache. Fagner was selected along with Danilo because Daniel Alves' injury meant he'd be out for the tournament. I'm not sure I want Fagner starting vs. the Belgians (or the French, if France and Brazil meet later).
That and I don't think I have ever seen players be so selfish. Keeping the ball too long and not working as a team.
I'm legit not upset I knew we could win and I knew we could lose Brazil deserved the victory they were just better We've got some quality guys but still a few too many holes.
Ochoa 2022 captain. Dude is now a legend in my book. Also let’s be for real, the thing Layun did to Neymar was in bad taste but he didn’t actually hurt him so let’s not act like we didn’t all enjoy that.
Is he really? I won’t criticize him for that. Homie played his ass off and the other 10 players on the pitch didn’t do sh*t.
I mean it worked for Italy From the outside seemed like your players forgot that Sweden beat them 3-0. Sure the goals were scrappy and stuff but it didn't occur to them that it was a very bad result edit: didn't want to butt in... thought it was the FIFA forum not the Mexico one
Basta con hablar mensadas... People wanted Tecate and other chingaderas but they forgot this is JCO. He was always going to Osorio it up.
The truth. That Brazil are a better team and that his saves don’t matter because it’s an 11 player team.
I don't think it would have made any difference to be honest. Look at Neymar's goal. 4 guys chase after him, leaving lots of space open for other players. Then Neymar passes and all the players chase after the ball like U10 ayso. kids. No none follows Neymar into the box. Boom. you are done. Tactics son. Mexco always makes these elementary mistakes,
lol, instead Osorio brought Jonathan dos Santos who managed to play way worse than a 90 year old Rafa Marquez.
That's how you know he brings nothing different to the job. At least Piojo would have gone on the pitch to yell at them and pushed Van Persie out of the way.
I'm not upset about this match. I'm upset about the Sweden game. We had everything on a silver platter, even a potential run to the semis, and they effed it up.
Mexico isn't a clinical team when it comes to converting their chances. It's one of their biggest flaws. They are wasteful in the final third -- not enough good decision making or well place shot at goal. Good luck to Brazil. Unlike most Mexican fans, I like Brazil even with Neymar's antics. I'm rooting for y'all.
Even though this was expected, being a spectator for other teams/players is the worst feeling. ********!!!
Seconding this. Mexico has stopped developing coaches for a while and any potential candidates are well past their prime. Do you want Vuce? Piojo again? There's a reason the winners of the Liga MX in the past five years are primarily foreigners.
