I actually wouldn't mind if we get Kuntz. For EC2020, rebuild/transition is the most important thing and getting good experience.

Sign him or any coach for 2 years. If they do well another 2 years and then those coaches like Klopp, Tuchel, Nagelsmann etc will be open for real. So go after them.

if the dfb reforms we are likely to not to see real results until 2022 at the min. Even the dfb academy seems to be post EC2020 or just around that time.

your also missing those annoying Spanish that keep producing technically gifted players. Portugal is pumping out interesting youth but I'm wondering what they will look like post Ronaldo and one can never put down Argentina either.

Klinsmann for me is tactically inept and very limited as a coach

I think loew will not resign, he's biding his time to see the public reaction, and incoming days he will sadly announce he's staying, I hope I'm wrong though

Why would Low resign? If he does he will lose the likelihood of a healthy settlement which he would be entitled to if the DFB fired him.

Handing him a new 4 year deal before the WC was crazy and sums up the whole culture of negligence that seems to have infected the DFB. Best neVer rest? What a an inaccurate slogan that was lol.

No coach should be on more then a two year deal, and extensions should only be agreed at the end of each tournament cycle. No one should feel too comfortable in their position. Everyone, be it coaches or players should be constantly evaluated on their current performance levels, past performance should mean nothing.

Just like to add that I like the idea of Kuntz getting the job, he is onboard with the idea of a major overhaul, has had recent success, seems reasonably decent tactically and obviously knows the young players pretty well.
    Much like Southgate with England.

Isn’t the fire vs resign issue one of money? If DFB fires him they have to pay his contract they stupidly signed two months ago. If he resigns they don’t. So I would think they want public pressure on him to resign but are not pressuring him directly is my guess.

the worst thing about the exit is that Germany lost to highly average teams

Yes they beat Germany but that’s because they completely parked the bus which makes the game so god damn boring

I hope that NT football doesn’t go this direction where every team is going to park the bus against the better opposition

It only worked because Germany moved the ball so slowly and allowed the opposition to get set. Germany needs to find more effective and varied ways of breaking down opposition defences, or every match will be this way.

I was going to mention that hes basically our version of Southgate. But would add that he's seems more like a superior version of him. Both have nothing noteworthy club wise and both are U21 coaches, although Southgate bombed in his only u21 tournament with a GS exit.

I don't think that after these years, Löw won't resign only because of financial issues against opposition in the DFB. The optimist in me believes they'll evaluate the situation in the next days and come to an undertanding whether they want to continue working together. Everything so far seems to indicate that they have no intentions to fire him.
If I had to make a guess, Löw either resigns now or, which I think is more likey, in 2 years regardless of the result of the Euro and Kuntz takes over.

pretty much to get rid of Low he has to resign. New update

Result after DFB conference call: Löw is the right one
The DFB wants to continue to rely on the services of national coach Joachim Loew. Once again, DFB President Reinhard Grindel confirmed this in a detailed conference call from his fellow members of the Executive Committee

Is Löw still the right one? Over 70 percent of kicker users say no. There is a collective yes, however, from the DFB Bureau. During a detailed telephone conference on Saturday, DFB President Reinhard Grindel, DFB Director Oliver Bierhoff and their Presidium colleague apparently came to the conclusion that Löw should remain the national coach. After the conversation it said from the DFB: "There is no other opinion - a clear vote of confidence." Whether Löw actually carries on, is now up to him. "It takes a bit of time for us to digest all this," the 58-year-old explained when returning to Frankfurt Airport. Meanwhile, he has plunged into his private world to question himself and think before the days of decision. For the coming week a meeting of all responsible persons is planned. At first, the DFB puts all the focus on the head coach question during the work-up. Only then should topics such as the badly criticized external representation of the national team, the encapsulation of the public, the composition of the ever-growing staff of Löw volunteers, the role of assistant trainers or organizational issues be brought into focus.

Ilkay Gündogan was the first player to comment on his future in the national jersey on Saturday. The 27-year-old wants to be part of the new start: "We have to and we will get up again after the summer break," announced Gündogan in the social networks.

I can tell you who I don’t want for our next coach - Jorge Sampaoli - what kind of formation are they using today.

Parking the bus is a perfectly acceptable way to play football, as it works against this German Team.

It's not the way international football is going, it's the way weaker teams are lining up against Germany.

Parking the bus is ineffective against most other teams who penetrate the block, by tiring out the opposition, by pressing high in groups, by fast interchanges.

Man City record points haul came against park the bus teams, I expect this year, teams will attempt to attack them more to try to expose their vulnerabilities.

Klinsmann blames Germany’s early World Cup exit on complacency

“It’s always difficult when you win a World Cup to repeat that four years later,” Klinsmann said on BBC One.

“The hunger is not the same, the desire is not the same. The fire is not as hot as when you go through winning a World Cup.

“I just think they were complacent, they were not hungry enough.

“That reflected through all three games and even in the preparation they were not sharp enough.

“Unfortunately we deserved to go home.”

Low signed a contract extension in May to remain in charge until 2022, but Klinsmann suggested the future of the 58-year-old manager is now unclear.

“The disappointment in Germany is humongous, it is huge,” Klinsmann said.

“(We didn’t expect), not with that squad, especially as they won the Confederations Cup a year ago in Russia.

“There is a lot of dicussion how to continue, what to do, but this is part of football.

“It needs to be discussed, it needs to be analysed and then you’ve got to move on.

“But everybody is obviously disappointed and curious to see how things continue.”

he's advocating for Lothar Matthaus for the job. Saying he's a top analyzer, expert knowledge, has coaching experience in NT. Known worldwide.

also mentioned in another tweet, that Beckenbauer who had no coaching experience led us to the 1990 WC trophy. Before losing the 1986 WC final and losing in the 1988 EC Semis.

Matthaus a big no no as well, a great player but definitely a moderate man manager, thats what's required at national level

  25. I wonder what is hurting more, not qualifying like we did or flying out like this team did.
But it's going to be an interesting NL confrontation. Still think you're on the upper hand.
