They said the same about Mexico...

Honestly, whatever happens between Poland and Japan will not surprise me.

    Mexico vs sweden? Or when?
There was certainly something to lose for both teams in that match. And any squad who loses to a team that has "nothing to lose" has proved nothing but the fact they were never prepared to begin with. If japan gets stomped tomorrow, then they shouldn't even be in the tour. There's no chance that's happening (with the current polish team) though.

Beware already eliminated Poles. In 2002, the US just needed a win against Poland, but the Poles didn't cooperate and won 3-1. Only South Korea's late goal against Portugal saved the US.

Also beat Costa Rica in 2006 after being eliminated... they have a tendency to win that 3rd game after blowing the first two...

Pride's a powerful thing. To Poland, a statement to be made. For Japan, they wanna make sure they don't lose.

I can see a situation where Colombia and Senegal draw and Japan get another 2-2 draw in the dying minutes of the their game, putting both Senegal and Japan through.

So I have to say, looking back I did not expect this to end up the way it did by how we got to this point. It's pretty funny if you ask me.

The answer to the Question of who the favorite to win this Group was Colombia.
And even though it was not pretty they proved why on the field.

1-1-1 is hardly proof of being favored.
