I'm pretty sure a lot of those Spain predictions went out the roof after the coach drama Not to mention a lot of those experts seems to have offered internally conflicted answers
I am generally cautious about Nawalka, but yes, I noticed that he is obviously trying to find some plan B and C, which he clearly lacked during Euro. Maybe he will abandon his favoritism as well? Maczynski is out (even though it must be purely due to injury, as for NT he always looked better then Linetty...), now he should keep Cionek out of RB, and potentially give Teodorczyk or Kownacki go ahead before Milik (I like Milik a lot, but he just doesn't seem in a rhythm yet - maybe during European League of Nations, which I hope we can win our group, and host Big 4 final next year). In general, Poland seems to be in a better shape then in 2016, and with more experience as well. Yes, I expect we have a great tournament, and quietly hope for England next round.
We'll see: James Rodríguez y Wilmar Barrios las ausencias en el entrenamiento de la Selección Colombia en Kazán. Esperemos que estén bn. Ahora, ¿Y si James no está, a quién pondríamos? #FOXenRusia #DanielEnRusia— Daniel Angulo Rugeles (@DanielAnguloR) June 14, 2018
Colombia is very good so they are a lock for 1st place if I had to bet all my savings 2nd place will go to either 3

That is from 3 days ago; he was reported to be training again (as well as Barrios) a day afterwards so it's outdated. ¡Confirmado! Well Senegal looked like the best team in the group today, but remember Colombia was missing James Rodriguez for most of the game to to him just coming back from injury and were playing with 10 men for 87 minutes.
Poland vs Colombia is now looking like the game to decide which of the two is still in contention. Whoever loses is out, so by game three Colombia vs Senegal may be a meaningless game. That said the 9pts-3pts-3pts-3pts scenario is also a possibility.
We can beat Colombia but Nawalka has to admit to his mistakes and abandon favoritism. For now, I am not sure he is able to do it, he is too stubborn.
Do you sincerely believe Japan will win another game? I think they lose the next two games to both Senegal, leaving them with 3 points heading into the match v Poland who will need points aswell... albeit, the Polish team does not exactly yell confidence.. i feel they will be able to handle the pressure better then the Japanese in that final crucial game.
I personally have the following: Colombia - Poland = Draw Japan - Senegal = Senegal win Senegal 6pts Japan 3pts Colombia 1 pt Poland 1 pt Colombia - Senegal = Colombia win Poland - Japan = Poland win Senegal 6pts Poland 4pts Colombia 4pts Japan 3pts but who knows?
Nope Well if Senegal beat Japan and Colombia beat Poland we have scenario that 3 team can get 6 points and Senegal not even advance.
Japan 4pts Senegal 4pts Columbia 3pts Poland 0pts Who expect such a situation ? After watching last night's beautiful JPN x SEN game, I am heading to Volgograd for JPN x POL game. I hope another 3pts at the battle of Stalingrad(Volgograd) and R16 @ Moscow.
Favorite group as a neutral to watch this WC, just so many possibilities. Japan have shown mental fortitude and not imploding against adversity, which is basically the opposite of Poland. Two games in and I hardly think Poland are in any way favored to win. Sure sometimes deflated teams with nothing to play for do well...and others just DGAF (see Brazil v Netherlands). I'll probably watch the Colombia v Senegal game instead on the main screen as the stakes are higher and the teams play a frankly more exciting style of soccer. I think Colombia will go hard for the win instead of settling for a draw and praying for Japan to lose. Really have a hard time calling this game, Colombia are a vulnerable team at the back though with many weapons up front but Senegal have not shown fully what they're capable of IMO. But honestly I'm happy with any two of the three teams going through; AFC and CAF need a lift and both these teams have played really well, but I would also love to see more of James and Falcao this WC. I'm just glad Poland's done with... I never rated them highly (again, as a viewing neutral; no disrespect or dislike specifically) and am disinterested in seeing a mini-Euro in the last 16 chock-full of, shall we say, non-elite European teams that are arguably not really any better than the best of CAF/AFC/CONCACAF (looking at Russia, Sweden, Denmark, Serbia and yes...Poland).
The only thing to add to that is that Lewdoski claims that the team wants to win to apologize to their fans given by how well their qualifying campaign went only to disapoint in the world cup. So pride may factor in but honestly, Poland have nothing to lose so we'll see if Japan will take them seriously or not.
Playing with nothing to lose has the advantage in penalty consequences of course. Even with a clear head, I don't see it happening. If they were going to kick themselves into gear, they wouldn't done it round 2.. I think it's going to be 2-0 or 2-1 japan. Jpn looks too on point to drop.
